My friend has his done. It came out at 28 pounds with no attempt at keeping it light...he even used dual 2300 nimh's. Even at our altitude of 6500 feet, though, it still flew well-very axial rolls, but I could tell it flew too heavy for my taste, and the covering is flying off left and right, even after 2 passes with the iron (I don't think he had enough heat, though). I still ordered one, the ARC version, but mine will be 4 pounds lighter, at least...BME110 will save 2 pounds and no cannisters will save at least another pound and a half, plus other little nicknaks will shave another pound or so. I am hoping for 25 pound take-off weight, max...at that weight, it will be truly unlimited!

Just picked up my ARC today. Overall build quality is impressive, but I see room for a diet. A little extra sanding and some lightening holes in the control surfaces will drop at least a quarter-pound off. I'll lose over a pound more with CF parts, too.
BTW, the aluminum is fine, but I am tring to get sea level performance out of this plane...I'm flying at 6500ft ASL.

well as i said i would post when i test flew my 34% 300 of chips. i test flew this past weekend at the thistledown flyers imaa mini fest fly in . that was in ohio. well all i have to say is . it is a wonderful plane to fly i thaught it flew very light on the sticks i have no coupling in the plane whatso ever . it is a point and click airplane . it will do what ever you want it to. i am not the best pilot but i have to say i had got a few compliments on some endless slow rolls and some one roll rolling circles i did . but best of all it will do everything rolling harriers are very nice . up lines are straight . i am very satisfied with my 300 and i would get another on if anything should happen to this one.

Can't go wrong with JR 8611a or Futaba 9351-

I've got 30 plus flights on my CHP 300 and love it.

good luck,
greg

What do you guys think about 1 8611A per surface since they are 300+ on the tourque.

If you are going to do only "Basic I.M.A.C." you might be save. But if you can push the limits Don't chance it. You are only talking $300.00 more $$. Can't see the logic.
Good luck with your decision

Mejzlick 28x10 I have Chips 27.5x10 and it is just a little to much prop. I'm going to order a 26.5x10 (CHP) next to see if the R.P.M. will be the same as the Mejzlick. Don't know why but I like the looks of a wood prop better than CF.

If using the DA 100, some people are not using the stand offs to allow the engine closer to the CG, and if you do this then you need to move the engine cowlin back .

Well there is not alot of information here on the 300, anyway I bit the bullet and ordered one from AEROWORKS today. I like the looks of the plane. Can anyone be of some help, fight reports ect. Just hoping I did the right thing. Wondering why there is not more information on the plane..Sorta strange....
