I just store them in the bags from the field. Takes up less space.

Looks like most either have retracts or you took the wheels off.

what i do in my shop is not fancy looking but it works. i screwed 4 eyebolts 1 foot apart into the wall above head high. i did the same thing on the oppsite wall directly across, then i tied 5/16 nylon rope to the first eyebolt and like laceing a shoe i went from one side to the other . i pulled it as tight as i could and tied it to the last eyebolt. this is cheap and can hold alot of wings and fusalages. eyebolts must go into wood to hold not sheetrock. everything for less than ten bucks at wal-mart.

I have an arrangement somewhat like Cobra1's in garage. I had a 12 lb Tiger Moth that I wanted to keep assembled. I used (3) 1 1/4 inch PVC pipes with (2) "L's". Used long wood screws into the joists on top piece, then "L'ed" down to horizontal piece. I have two of these, side by side. Used foam insulation tubes over the bottom ones. The plane slides in and out. So far it hasn't fallen on my wife's new Miata. (I'm sure she'd understand). It worked so well, I did one for my Uproar 60 - although it's just over 7 lbs.

The only change I'd make is to add the foam insulation on the vertical pieces to prevent possible damage to the planes' leading edges.

This is what I do. There are 11 sets of wings hanging there.
Edwin
and i thought i had a problem............

i'll take a pic or two.....i've got all my "flyers" hanging from the ceiling...wings on (i don't take more than two or three planes to the field anyway.....usually)

i've got a shelf that holds all my "works in progress"

You might consider killing two birds with one stone. thoes birds would be storage and transportation
this is the very thing i'm considering doing....i'm gathering up supplies... i'm gonna fuild one myself from start to finish the way i want it to start with.

As your fleet gets larger my experience is that wings off storage will draw less attention from the female.

Jerry don't worry, you're doing just fine UNLESS it snows & you have to get the car into the garage....

(just a Canuck joke)
If it snows where Der Fester lives, it'll be downright hilarious !!!

They do like to buy things. One must hope they don’s gain/loose a few pounds and take the outfits to goodwill with tags attached.

What do people do in the northern states when it gets way below zero? Are you still storing the stuff in the garage or in the basement?

As far as the garage when it freezes outside, I have an electric heater that hangs from the ceiling with a thermostat. It keeps the aircraft hanger about 45 degrees for a few $ a month. I convinced my wife this was the thing to do so the dog would have a place to go when it is so cold outside.
