Holy $#!&. Thats a freakin' HUGE engine for a Revo! I have a Surefire in my Savage X and its crazy in that thing. I cant imagine it in a Revo lol. My Revo is hard eno9ugh to control with a 23. I am ridiculusly anxious to see a video! Viva Surefire!!!

Kliff-
Yea my buddy's STI with that 2.5 4 banger will see an improvement with header wrap... Im not sure if I will... But its worth a try! Hey its free heat wrap! haha
I think I am going to persuade my dad to hold the video camera tommorow while I do some WOT runs. Im not sure if hes gonna go for it.... Hmmm might have to get the girlfriend or one of the neighborhood kids

Yeah the kids will do it lol. At the very least, sit the cam somewhere and do some runs infront of it.

Ha! Yea I might have to just sit it down somewhere... I also might do an on-board video, I did one with my touring car and it worked out pretty shnazzy. I just throw my little digi camera onto the front of the truck, strap it down (zip ties) and try not to flip over!

I remember seeing an on-board camera that transmitted to a receiver you could hook to a monitor or laptp and down load direct to DVD...all for under 200.00
I can't find it anywhere now....

Lax,
That is one awsome looking ride, can't wait to see a video. What pipe is that you are running and where do you get it. I need a good low end pipe to fit across the back of my MGT. That pipe would fit perfectly.

So I took my Revo out today and it was running GREAT! I got 3 (ish) vids. Sorry that my dad sucks at filming and that I am using a digital camera to do this... hahaha but it worked! You can get a sense for how REDICULOUSLY loud this thing is! Check em out... I was running a little rich on the first one, I was also still warming the engine up.

That's it....NOW to figure out how to hook it directly to my laptop, instead of TV/VCR, and record directly to DVD or hard drive.......

I have the FOC, wide 2 speed, no opti drive, 10k oil in F/R diffs, dual disc brakes... I bashed hard all day today and the drivetrain held up perfectly! The shock ends were a different story

So you want to get the vid straight onto your laptop. If you had a tv-tuner card then you could. A tv-tuner card (for desktop pc) is a card that slides into your pci slot and then you can hook up your tv cable to it and watch/record tv on your computer. TV tuner cards are made for usb and PCMCIA slots like laptops have and you can get one cheap. My Friend has one of those wireless cameras from ebay and he uses it to video tape parties. So instead of hooking up that receiver to a vcr you just hook it up to your tv tuner card in your laptop.

I'll praise the Surefire 32 for a moment... its easy to tune, extremely powerful, and has been very reliable for me (aside from the pull start assembly) My only beef with this engine is tht it is new and parts dont seem to be readily available for it, I've been waiting for a pull start for WEEKS... its still on back-order lol. I am switching to a Picco 28 in my Savvy X simply because I have no way to start the Surefire. Maybe in time the parts support will get better and I can run it again.

you can use the pullstart from the HPI 28... or the Axial 28, or the Axial 32

Nice set up lax. I didn't notice your carb linkage at first in the pics until I read about halfway through the thread. lol. What I did was just turn the carb 180* so the swivel piece could grab it. However it makes the idle needle near impossible to get. I like your deal. If you happen to have it off can you take some pics of the linkage sometime? I wouldn't mind being able to turn my carb back around.
