they look rather large and rectangular. How do they fly?

my Yak kit showed up today. Spent some time going through the contents of the boxes and all I can say is "Wow!". This is my 3rd Carden kit and I continue to be blown away by the attention to detail and quality of everything included. This thing is gonna be awesome!!

I don't plan on starting the build any time soon....but when I do, I'll post some pics. Can't wait!!

gonn for good / jmiracle,

your thoughts on the above 5" 8-spoke Robart Wheels on the 32% YAK ? I believe the spec calls for 4 1/2" wheels, the 5" look more scale to me?

I would just go with what you think looks best on the plane. IMO, the Carden Yak is one of the least SCALE yaks out there...but it has some of the cleanest lines. I love the look, but it's definitely not scale.

I have some pictures of the prototype from the Toledo Show this year....I'll see if I can't dig them up.

<<edit>>....ok, this is the only one I have of the 32%. This one is a little small....but I know I have a larger version archived at home. I'll try to remember to dig it up tonight when I get home.

thanks, Yes I did see that one. I had forgotten they had Dick Held's 32% at Toledo and after you posted that picture I remembered seeing it from Carden's pics of the Toledo show.
thanks

I have started my 32% Yak 54. Attached is a photo of my fuse framed up. Now I need to start the wings.

Question - Did you Yak kit come with wing plan drawing? Mine didn't. Does anyone have the dimensions for the ailerons and the two locations for the aileron servos? I've made up the skins and am ready to start the servo box installation.

Lookin good!! The aileron dimensions are written on the side-view of the fuse plans around the aileron section. A "wing" plan is not included. Servo placement is left up to the builder.

Hey Guys
I'm just about to complete my 35% 330 . Was wondering if someone was going to do a build thread on the yak.
