Hey, guys. I started reading this post and dug out my old kit and got to work on it. I glassed all the control surfaces, but I am stumped on the wing. I don't seem to have the ply spars. I forgot why I quit work on it, but I remember now. I wanted to make a removable wing, but Steve never got back to me about the part. I suspect it was because there were no more removable wing kits. So, how can I make a removable wing? This is going to be an electrified Byron fan setup. I have a 1" by 1/8" thick piece of aluminum that came from Home Depot. It's a bit heavy, but I think I can sandwich it between some 1/16 ply to make up the difference to get the 1/4" spar. What are everyone's thoughts on that? Help!

Terry,
Ok. Sounds good. Doesn't seem like much. Do I need to drill holes in the metal and epoxy it in the wing? The Sig instructions have holes drill in them to get bolted to a wood spar...

Does anyone have some good pics as to show how to align the wings to the fuselage on the old TG Mig-29? also I am going to make this one with Tailerons and I'm wondering about what throws I would need. This Mig-29 is going to be Electric with a pair of Tam's 100mm Fans, I will be at 6.8 kW of power, it should fly at 160-170mph. I'm in the process of making the new bulkhead to accept the fans tonight, they are almost done. I've hacked off the back half of the fuselage top area behind the hatch, I will be making that more to scale, so Bye Bye Hump.... and hello Mig-29.

RE: Top Gun Mig 29
Hi Terry,
Denny in St Louis here. Just received a TGA Mig 29 I bought over the net. Looks pretty good but NOOO instructions. No info on throws, CG, zip. I would buy a manual but can't find one on line. Lots of pieces. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Denny,
I posted the instruction manual over at RCGoofs since i'm doing an EDF version of this Mig-29, here is the link to the thread http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=931538 if you check out page 4 of the thread that is where you will find the instruction, here is the link for page 4 http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showt...=931538&page=4 , I took pics of the manual page by page, they are all there, but not in the correct order.

RE: Top Gun Mig 29
Gene,
Thanks very much. This is my first jet and even though I have built many 1/4 and 1/3 scale projects, this is all new to me. When I bought this he included an OS 91 and dynamax fan. ( looks brand new ) I talked to Tamjet and their set up looks to be about $ 1600.00 so I am going with the ducted fan and OS. Would like to look into the turbine but maybe I should crawl first.
Thanks again,
Denny
