Yes I run one with a M&D 260 in it, it handles great and almost always finishes right side up. They are hard to GPS because in smooth water they are slower than rough water but I would guess it runs 55-58 mph. Super strong hulls too.

Looks exactly the same as my friends, just a different color. Full mod Zen 260 by M&D, same rudder, same blue stinger drive, and same trim tabs.

I already posted about it on the first page of this same thread. But it is an awesome boat. It does about 55-60 and will turn on a dime at full throttle with no worries. It handles really well in all water even rough. Very nice boat, Im jealous of it. lol

With the small compact Sikk it should be a great runner. But don't go with the large flywheel Sikk/RC conversion, they would be too top heavy. You will need to change the mount on the flywheel side too as the stock mount sits up too high. All hardware is just as the build sheet recommends.
I love mine, they are rare over here.

Yes that is the small flywheel one. Notice how deep the mount is though? You need one that drops the pull start lower. The square corners of the mount hold it too high off the bottom of the V.

I haven't seen Dom on here in a while as he's probably been busy helping ot get that other gas boat forum site up and going again. I've seen his boat run and he drives it like he stole it! The handling is impressive to say the least.

i may be wrong but bigger and slower as regards rpm doesnt have to mean slower it might be designed for a diff size boat? as in bigger for larger props i dunno but surely if its 27 cc it could be modded to be faster than the 25 cc ones?.what mods do you have in mind for the zen? there are some straight forward ones to do if you know engines which i dont but a mate does.like porting and such.not sure what dave charges to mod a zen but you might be as well selling yours and buying a modded one?.or maybe hed do a trade in deal for a zen 7 .
