Dave:
I thought ChuckAuger had two Duellists, because of the colors.
Go here:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...=2&forumid=220
look at post #21.
That is also Chuck's Duellist, the color rendition is better there.
Even with colors outlandish,
. Flying a twin is kind of "Man-ish."

Re: Yer right....
Dave:
You might have to put me on the same list - MyElectroStreak has a purple fuse, the wing is orange, green, and white. You can see it in the background of this pic, my Electra in the foreground, is orange, blue, and white.
Since the color is left to thee,
. Be sure it's colored to see.
Bill.

Joe:
A lot of other people would like to find a Twinstar also, now that they are out of production. Possibly a small hobby shop in Podunk Idoway might have one. Best suggestion is watch Ebay, put a classified in the mags, or both.
Would you be interested in a Duellist? Or a Twin-Air? Both very good airplanes. A little bigger than the Twinstar, but neither available as an ARF.
Seems everybody wants a Twinstar,
. Now that made, they no longer are.

Twin Star UP...well, almost.
Joe:
The Twin=Air 45, also the TA 25 and shortly the TA 15, are availanle from Northeast Aerodynamics,
www.ne-aero.com
And prices/specs are there also.
The Twin-Air series, and all of NE Aero's kits, are easy builds, I've never heard of anuone having a complaint about NE Aero - the wood, the design, ease of construction, flying qualities, just consisently excellent.
The Duellist 2/40 (Mk I) can be had as a kit, produced by Pica, best price seems to be from Quantum Models.
www.quantummodels.com
Price is $124.99 plus freight. Thisis a laser cut kit. Or, if you would like, I have an older, spare, not laser cut version, I'll sell for $80, plus freight. It is NIB.
Then there's the Duellist 2/40 Mk II, slightly more wing and empennage area, revised and modernized from the original Mk I, and it builds up a bit lighter also. Available only as plans (from Model Airplane News.) If you decide on a D 2/40 and want the absolute best version go for the plans, But unless you flew both versions back-to-back you probably would never notice the difference, and the kit is much more convenient.
There are many Duellist 2/40 comments and pictures on this thread:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...65&forumid=220
Also in this thread you'll find the birth and early development of the ultimate Duellist; the Duellist 2/60 Mk II.
Check the Duellist 2/60 Mk II here:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/showthread...41&forumid=220
And yes, we are currently taking orders for this airplane in a laser cut KIT!
Final notes:
The Twin-Air series is the much easier build, but with the straight wing and slightly boxy fuselage it is not as sleek as the Duellist. It does have a longer tail than the Duellist, so it's a bit safer flying with an engine out. With both running it's hard to tell the difference in the two planes. The Twin-Air is excellent, both as a first kit, and as a first twin.
The Duellist series is definitely the harder plane to build, but I think it's also a lot prettier airplane. When flown to extremes the Duellist does have the advantage in the Mk II version, upright and inverted flight manners are identical. The Duellist Mk I and the T-A need some down elevator when inverted. Both still do well, though.
So I hope one of these will please you. If you decide on the Duellist 2/60 Mk II I'll be happy to take your order. Details in the Super Duellist thread.
No matter what you fly,
. Get a twin, it's time to try.
