RE: tamjets or jetlegends f-16
Hello all-
After taking some time off from the hobby, I really started to miss jets. So I decided to get back in contact with some of my good friends and get requalified (renew my waiver). I called Carlos (CARS II) and we met shortly there after. My first buddy box flight (keeping it leagal) was on a baby boomer, then the next weekend we moved on to Carlos' TJ F-16.... 3 flights on the box the next weekend, and Carlos tells me you're more than ready to solo again.
Last weekend we get out to the field get the bird all set up, fueled, and fired up. I go to grab my 10X to plug into his and he says "No, we don't need that today..... you're on your own." So, I do my solo flight, all the manuevers he asks, and then put her down on the centerline, nose high just like she likes....
What's this have to do with this thread? In my opinion, the Tamjets F-16 is one of the easiest little jets to fly, and I'm positive that I got back in the saddle fast because of it. I like it so much that I have a Razorback scheme hanging in my garage right now!
Can't wait to get out and fly it soon! So, that's my vote...

Well I bit the bullet again. I just bought a Tam's F-16 RTF.
I hold Nick (Pantherflyer) and Ianober fully accountable!
So now I have Jet Legends and Tams...............time for a fly off biage!!!
gotta love those Falcons.
Ok guys P-80 or P-70?.............though I'm really not that much of a fan of my P-80. Thet engine is just like me.....never in a hurry.

I'll second the P-70, with the V6.0f ECU the spool time is allot better then it used to be and a ton better then a P-80 and with the P-60/SE having the the same (and some even worse) fuel consumption the extra thrust of the P-70 is well worth the extra weight.

Thanks man, I'll take your word for it. -70 it is.

The P-70 is the best engine for the F-16, you get plenty of thrust and lighter than the P-80. Been there done that.

Good choice, I love this combo. Raf and I have gone out the last 2 weekends and I have gotten at least 3 flights each time. Great little gas and go jet. I love mine.
Mark, we need to get a little Razorback formation action sometime, you gotta get down to the Willow!!

Lighter has gotta be better. I am flying a Jet Legend F16 with a Wren MW44 + a Wren augmenter tailpipe. The complete package is less than 14lb.
It flys well & lands at walking pace. No vices at all.

Uncle Joe,
I think these are both my jets, the gray one is the P60, and the ThunderBird is the EDF. Having both of them, I swear by Tam's quality control and the instructions. While the grammar my lack in some areas, the instructions are loaded with reference photos. Lots of work, but it makes building faster with fewer surprises.

RE: tamjets or jetlegends f-16
If you look at Bob's F-16 here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RypIc6H-iOw
I think its a JetLegend, compared to the pics of the Tam above, does the fuse look more scale like on Bob's F-16 or am i way off?
Can someone perhaps please do a YT of a Tam F-16 1/8 up Close?
I need to choose between the two and find it difficult for i cannot compare the looks of one against the other.
Falconwings, you the only one that has a Tam and a Jetlegends 1/8. How do they compare against each other and which one looks best. (most scale like)
