Finally. the chassis came in.

Condition is well used, without any broken parts. The only thing that bugs me is the scratched right front wheel. No spares available here! [:@]
Need to collect some more parts for it: New front tires, body mounts, motor pinion, ball bearings and maybe some diff parts.

I decided to go with the HPI PLYMOUTH CUDA shell. Thanks for all your opinions! Stay tuned!

good news, the diff parts from the F103GT are near identical, and you can swap out the whole rear axel if need be

nice chassis BTW

The rears are Tamiya wheels, from the Tamiya XC-chassis low-ride kit.
The fronts are custom made aluminium wheels.

I need to order some more parts for the chassis, and the body.
Motor is going to be my trusty 18T LRP with the TEU-101 ESC.

This is more of a side project, since I have to finish my Frog first.

See post #6, page 1.

I've read the limit of the 101 is 17T. Since there is no official figures available from Tamiya, I'll stick to this.
If I'm wrong, I will just open the drawer and toast another one, hehe!

OFFICIAL spec from Tamiya is that it should only be used for 27T silvercan and Sport Tune..

It is the UNOFFICIAL #s that we want to know.. how over-built it is!!

Those cars look great. I have two questions would the back wheels fit a f103gt and where could I find some?

I personally own the '68 camaro body shell on an associated L3 pan touring car set up for drag (had no choice with those huge wide rears, haha).... it's a looker! Especially for the muscle car fans, makes them wanna go out and buy an r/c.

94 mph... NO BIG DEAL! haha

Seriously though... my goal is to break 100mph. The associated 10L 3's were RIDICULOUSLY FAST. The new Custom Works stuff is very fast too (single drive tran, pan cars are the fastest flat out). I just switched this car to brushless... has a 3.5t brushless on 21/81 gearing. Once I hit 100mph, I will bring her back to a 60mph parking lot trophy getter.

That's insanely fast! You should make a video of that!

Anyway, I ordered the HPI CUDA body today. It comes painted, because I'm too lazy and hate painting lexan shells.
It will look awesome, I hope!

Here are some early teaser pics of the whole car.
I still need to find long body posts for the rear. The body will come much lower, don't like it sitting up high as it is now.
I hope I will like i better lowered... [&:]

A little lower. I think this is it! Now all I need are longer body posts for the rear.
