Worse must be the pattern guys since they have weight and size limitation imposed by regulations. Just how can they get by flying perfect maneuvers with such restrictions?

On the subject of weight weenies try the cycling (manual) brigade, titanium bolt upgrades, must have the lightest wheels, carbon bars, some of those bikes in the main stream can cost £4000.00, I have a set of Carbon Lightweight Wheels that would have cost £1400.00 if I had not have been sponsored and that was quite a few years ago.
Back to the engines, I know most of these are conversions and the position of the carb is fixed, but I don't think there is anything worse than seeing the carb sticking out of the side of a nice cowl, especially a warbird that someone has gone to the trouble of making a nice job of and then sticking the carb out the side. I also know that most of the side mounted carb offerings are at the least expensive end of the market, out of curiosity does anyone know of a rear mounted carb engine at the least expensive end of the market?

I've spoken with Andy a couple times over the past two weeks and BME is alive and well. It's taking a little time to re-orient the company. I suppose you could view the new BME like the Phoenix but I don't know how long it took the Phoenix to rise from the ashes.
They might want to consider making an announcement regarding a time frame for various items. It eliminates guesswork and keeps the product name alive in the minds of potential and existing customers.

WOW, 350.00 for the BME 50 is a smoking deal I think. Never owned a BME, but have heard nothing but good things about them.

The 58 should be your typical quality BME engine though!
