The "R" version requires"R/C system, ESC, battery pack, body, motor, tires, and pinion gears". You may want a regular ta05 ifs. The regular Ta05 ifs kits require only the battery, esc (one even comes with an esc), and radio system.

Futaba makes the best radios in my opinion. I've owned them for 8 years without a problem.

Which one would you want?
eclipse
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTCC4&P=7
raybrig
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTRN2&P=7
Willcom
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXTVY6&P=7

You may want to get the eclipse or raybrig and buy an esc separately. For the $50 that you save, you could get a Novak XRS or Futaba MC230CR. They will handle hotter motors than the stock esc.

Do you have a charger? Also you'll need polycarbonate (lexan) paint for the body.

For a charger, I'd recommend the super brain.

I would start with a 22 tooth (since that's what comes with the regular IFS's) and go up or down from there depending on if you want a higher top speed or faster acceleration.

this (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXWU01&P=7) would make it have less acceleration but higher top speed correct?

Yeah, quite a bit more speed. You'd want to make sure you have a powerful enough motor, though.

No. You'd only need a second servo if you used a mechanical speed control.

I think it comes with wheels, but not tires.

Be sure to make a thread with pics of it when you get it.

Not absolutely positive, but I think that they will fit. The dimensions indicate that they would.
