Walmart, I'll be building a runner up next week. I'll get some pics of it when I'm all done and post them up. Probably towards the later part of the week. I'm taking it to our local track to see if I can still drive one of these. It's been about six years since I ran one. You're right, they do need a smooth surface to run on. These cars really aren't made for street thrashing. There low chassis skips over rocks.

Mxrich, I didn't think you get parts for those cars anymore. I'll have to look into it and see what I can find. Thanks for the tip!

you put me to shame Sir but here mine
I have 4 of the Delphi cars. When you put the options on them they are actually very good. Ball diff kit is a must as is the foam tires. Tamiya wheels fit them and use the F103 steering knuckles. They are stronger. The option shock is way better also. I ran two of them in the 6 and 4 cell classes of the F1 series and came in 2nd overall in both classes last year. Parts are still available through Tower including clear bodies.
just pick this upa couple of months ago.running a 19t reedy an just put the option skock on today.use tamiya rubber of a lola94,cant wait to try it at the track

Vyger, think you should do a groupshot, and i also think many of your pics are 'RCU front page' worthy.

i am a big Ayrton Senna fan, so i'd love to get an old McLaren body.

Thanks Lee! I agree I think the McLaren...of any era is a sweet looking car...but my favorites are the Tamiya MP4/6 and the HPI MP4/8. Those cars look awesome. Just look at MLP's pics above and you'll see what I'm talking about.

MLP, thanks for posting those pics. The McLaren and Ferrari look AWESOME! I have always liked how that Ferrari handles. I think it's one of the best foam tire car bodies. The rest of your collection is equally as nice, I just like those two the best. I'm sure you get allot of offers on those two cars. LOL

Hey Lola, let us know how that car is working or worked when you get a chance.

Thanks everybody for posting up the pics. This is working great!

I'm glad I found you guys! I'm still holding on to a Kyosho F189 (see pic below) - the one from the 90s that has inboard mounted shocks front and rear. It needs a replacement gear and I even went as far as visiting Japan to find parts for it, but all I got was laughter and "I think I wasn't even in school yet when that was sold". Then they would go on to recommend the new F103RM. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get the external gears (secondary gears, not pinion) for this from?

PS: Actual pics of the F189 will appear after she receives her gear. She's not feeling quite whole at the moment...

I know that car! I have the Penske version...I think it was the Penzoil Indy car. I wish I could help you out but I don't have any extra parts for it. I'm sure you've done this already, but have you googled the part number?

Wow. So, I've got a crappy picture of my F103...

Anybody got anywhere to score wheels/tires and a body set for this puppy? I'm not terribly picky, but I'd love an FW24

I think I have a complete trans or gear setup for this car and other parts I cut the body to fit a F103 SAD but true but you are welcome to it and the other parts email me here [email protected] and I will send it to you if the cost of shipping isn't to high ok.

We are packing up for a move to our new place but I will look for it and post pics if you want might not be till this weekend ok.

Hey MLP F1, thanks for the kind gesture. I've emailed you. Silly me, I was wondering what this new Tamiya F1 kit called an F103SAD was, until it finally dawned on me some 30secs later...

I just got my new Tamiya carbon fiber chassis and aluminum diff joints. I installed them and took some new pics of the chassis. Now I can get some electronics in it.

Sweet Ride Dude!

Here are pic's of the NEW! MLP Viper Venom 1/10 scale F1 Car! You will never see a car like this anywhere else!

This just takes us forward in making a Full tubed high nose molded monocock Chassis just like the real F1 cars!. Yes a Molded Carbon Fiber Chassis!

And once we get there it will also open the door for a New RWD Drive system that will blow your mind! But thats next year!

But this car can move! I took it out front of the house today and it was just sick fast! and I have never been able to run a pan car on my street no traction at all but this car well I think we hit it right on the head in the design and speed of this car!
It was so hooked up I was getting sidebite chatter in the corners and this is with a 4cell battery layout with a brushless 13.5 !
Don't mind the battery hook ups Soldering Iron took a crap on me going out right now to get a new one

Vyger that chassis is sick! I'm really thinking about getting into these since I just found out my local track runs the F1 class. How hard are they to drive? I run a drift car right now if that helps at all

Thanks Solo!

Get over to see Scotty at trackside ? for F1 Racing ? see if they are going to hold F1 races this year.

There is a Viper F1 Car a Viper V103 Car and The Viper Venom Car - we will also have a upgrade to your F103 for I made a kit back in 2003 we are going to update it and bring it back out!
It looks just like our V103 but with a Tamiya rear pod but with our Viper Rear suspension setup on it! So we will give you the carbon fiber parts you just add your F103 parts and you have a Viper Not Legal For TCS Races or races held with TCS Rules!
V103 Pics

Hope you like them!

I would say The Tamiya F103RM and I bet you can pick one up in your own home town here.
