Throttle linkage. This engine comes with a rotary carb. I don't like the way the original linkage goes over the spur gear, so, I modified it a little bit. So far it works like a charm

Finished today breaking-in the engine. Hopefully tomorrow I will tune it. Ran out of fuel
I got one just like this on fleabay for $46 shipped. Is a T-maxx 3.3 FOC transmission (like you didn't know ) I see a big block conversion in the near future

More pictures
Here is a 150cc gas tank
Battery will be repositioned
Fits nicely
The battery will go into that empty space. Now I can access both the slipper clutch nut and the low-speed needle screw with ease. Hopefully I'll finish it later today. The battery of my rotary tool gave up on me. Is charging right now
I need more input guys. Ideas. And I need suggestions for a nice tire/wheel combo

i have a tank similar to that mounted in the same place, makes getting to your lsn alot easier
i have a tank similar to that mounted in the same place, makes getting to your lsn alot easier
So, here is how it looks now. Hopefully tomorrow I'll finish the body
The truck stops on a dime from WOT since I changed the position of the throttle/brake linkage
I got a question. Is it ok to have this coupler like this? Or, would it be better to turn it all the way forward?:
The truck runs great, but, I need either a bigger clutch bell, or a smaller spur gear, badly!! I had to open the HSN nearly a full turn from factory settings, in order to keep the engine from over revving, and still, at WOT would shift into third gear if it had one
Since I am getting a 3.3 T-maxx tranny on the mail, what would be a good clutch bell/spur gear combo??

RE: My T-Maxx build
I have a few ideas for a wheel and tire combo. As for tires, [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_58/products_id/7585]Badlands,[/link] [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_58/products_id/4793]Zombies,[/link] [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_58/products_id/21338]Mashers,[/link] and [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_58/products_id/7230]Dirt claws[/link] have proven to work well for my applications.
I would HIGHLY recomend firm or molded foams for whatever tire/wheel combo you get. They increase handling tremendously.
For wheels I would get either [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_57/products_id/20885]JConcepts Rulux,[/link] [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_57/products_id/7562]Mugen 5 spokes,[/link] [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_57/products_id/19809]HPI 8 spokes,[/link] [link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_57/products_id/6139]HPI Black Solids,[/link] and[link=http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_info.php/cPath/1_26_57/products_id/19800]HPI Q6 black[/link] wheels
Some of these wheels require 17mm adapters and some use regular 14mm hex's. Some are offset and some arn't. 17mm hex's are a great upgrade and having a little offset will greatly increase the handling of your T-maxx. Its night and day for T-maxx's. All wheels and tires are compatible with eachother.
I have to say your making a great build so far. I would black out those wheels. They look great when there died black.
Also get a bigger air filter. The one you have on there is pretty small.

i would like to know what kind of mods it would take to get that 3.3 tranny in there. i was thinking of doing the same thing, after going threw 2 primary gears in a few mounths with my 2.5 maxx, i think it would be worth my time

Thanks for the compliments The wing is from my 1/8 buggy GS Storm. As I said, I do not know what difference is going to make in the handling department, but it looks so dam sexy
More goodies are on the way but, unfortunately I have to take it easy on the goodies and hop ups for some time. My 1/1 car bent 7 valves, and that set me back $700 GRRR!!! (No Revo for me this X-mas )
The only mod I had to do was to separate both halves of the stock motor mount and grind down the braces that connected them. Engine dropped in without a hiccup.

I thought the same thing about the wing before I got one. Jumping with a wing and without a wing have completely different affects. Makes jumping a lot smoother. Plus it acts as a wheelie bar. Anymore updates on the build?

More goodies arrived in the mail:
Aluminum rear bulkheads:
RPM Skidplates. These are soooo freaking cool looking
Arriving shortly in the mail:
1. 3.3 2 speed FOC transmission, brand new
2. 3.3 steering knuckles w/ bearings, brand new
3. 3.3 58T spur gear & slipper clutch, brand new
Question: Which center driveshafts should I use with the 3.3 transmission?? 2.5 shafts, or 3.3 shafts?? Thanks
