She had a RC 18 & a Mini LST for a few years....But she only drove them once in a while......(Mostly in the House)

So I got her the Slash........& She Really Likes it.....Plus it's a tough truck...So it's great for kids as I'm not worried about Fixing it every time she bumps the Curb

That's really nice to see your family enjoying the hobby with you. My daughter is 13 so it's not really that cool to be seen with her dad in public, but my son and I tear it up as often as we can.

im in the middle of negotiation with my girlfriend regarding the gift that i want for valentines day. I told her that I want the traxxas slash so badly. She said anything but RC. She said it is waste of money. Man! These women just don't understand the pain of rc addiction. But anyways, if she doesnt buy it for me, i will buy it myself since now i've settle down in a pretty good IT career
I never get this about gift giving. The gift is for the receiver, not the giver. It shouldn't matter if she likes it or not its for you. My wife don't like to buy me RC stuff because shes worried she'll get the wrong thing. She don't care for the hobby but she'll get me gift cards and what not. For valentines day she told me to pick out the bump box I wanted for my nitro car. Next time she asks for something that you think is a useless waste of money and see how she reacts.

Heck yeah! And come x-mas time, RCs under the tree make for really great gifts, especially for us RC addicts!

I'm surprised you have not yet tried to get your daughter into RCs, she just might like it

Haha asif your girl is going to buy you a new rc truck for valentines day. The whole point of valentines day is to spend time with them...not to get something out of it

I agree, no RC for valentines day. Im not into holidays at all but I do think it would be kind of weird to get an Rc for valentines day. But hey if you can pull it off go for it.

Get into firearms and RC is loved. Any hobby besides firearms is loved. If you want to talk about time consuming it certainly is in tweaking/cleaning firearms. RC looks like the good child at my house which means most rc purchases can always be played as alternatives to a new firearm and all the crap I may have been getting stops. Find a more expensive, time consuming hobby and then RC gets a free pass from the boss.
