Default RE: EVSD-5U-PRO Multi-Function Valve help

Dear Sir,

I am sorry, cause your puzzlement!

I hope at first that you can check several things
1. Please confirm that each valve export the air normally (V1~V5).
*First of all, please input the pressure in 120 PSI range , and confirm that screen " GSF " stops blinking pattern.

2. Please confirm that your air line connect all devices to arrange correctly.
V1-(Gear out) / V2-(Gear in) / V3-(Door open) / V4-(Door close).

3. Please check your equipment, " Gear & Door Air Cylinder " leaks the air.
*Abnormal gear or door device , will influence normal movements of the valve.

4. Please notice the valve surface light change V1~V4. (in mode 2)
*(mode 2) The normal change light is as follows :
On power → V2-(Gear in) & V4-(Door close).
Press " MANU" button → V4 Jump V3-(Door open) → V2 Jump V1-(Gear out) → V3 Jump V4-(Door close)

5. Reverse your gear & door valve at the same time, can keep gear out in no power.

PS. My English not fine, I am sorry !

Dirk,

Just to clarify what is happening, here is the simple version:

We store the planes with the gear retracted.
When we turn the plane's receiver ON, the gear wants to extend, which is normal.
In Mode 1, there is no problem, the valve opens the gear AND Doors.
In Mode 2, there is a problem. The gear wants to open, however the DOORS are held shut. This is a problem because the gear could break the doors, while trying to extend.

Dirk means have you checked this?

Dirk suggested to: "First of all, please input the pressure in 120 PSI range"

The digital pressure readouts on my EVSD are about 25 psi less than what my pump guage says. I have used my pump with mini guages and never noticed this wide a psi spread so I figured my pump was reasonably accurate. Anybody else notice this?

I'm a little hesitant to pump up the unit to 120 psi.

Thanks,

Craig

that would mean you have the V1 reversed and the airlines connected incorrect?

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggg!

My valves and lines are connected correctly, period. The system works perfectly in every way EXCEPT upon system power up. I am going to have to shoot a video because words are not getting it done.

This valve is has a serious design flaw or the ones Chad and I have just happen to be broke in the same exact way.

Craig, I noticed the same thing. I have the analog gauges installed as well and when I am servicing the system my compressor and the analog gauges agree, the Digital gauge reads 20-25 pounds low....

Have you tried binding the system with your retract swicth in the "other" position. Give it a try?

Default RE: EVSD-5U-PRO Multi-Function Valve help

I have tried it in every possible way. Bound it with gear up, and gear down....

It makes no difference. I have even crossed the up and down lines on the gear. That keeps the gear up on boot up but the brakes done work on extension and the GSF fails the gear to the UP position.

The S/W on this valve is hosed up, period. There is not a mechanical fix for this.

Great video

i am taking my hawk out today for a spin
since my doors can also be opened or closed with or without the gear up or down
i will try also today in mode 2
be advised i am using now the latest Sequenser pro with Failsafe
basicly same unit but with external valves..
so the software should be the same.
lets get this cleared..

Interesting.... Just came across this thread having been gone for the week on vacation.

I will run through some tests later today to confirm as this is the first I am hearing of this issue. Looks to be a software glitch, should be something easily resolved.

Ok, So both Dirk from Airpower and Myself have confirmed this to be a software glitch in the valve.
I have a shipment expected in house next week containing the EV5U-Pro with the updated software revision. Anyone wishing to swap the valve out for the updated software is welcome to contact us for a return authorization.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

NO problem Todd, good thing I am getting to be an expert on gear door hinging!

I will be requesting a replacement at some point but I have to go with what I have for now, I will use my work around for now....

Default RE: EVSD-5U-PRO Multi-Function Valve help

We have received stock on the EV5U-PRO valves with Revision 3 software. I have thoroughly tested the new software and can confirm the software issue noted in this thread has been resolved. Regardless of power off position of the gear, the doors now open before gear deployment upon power-up. All valves sent in for replacement are shipping today.
Thanks,
Todd

Default RE: EVSD-5U-PRO Multi-Function Valve help

to all,

I am trying to set up mode 3, but the front door fires out of sequence. I have the main gear doors plugged into
D2 and the front door plugged into D1.

When I click the radio switch for gear down this is what happens:

1) Main gear doors open. (Correct)
2) Gear Down (Correct)
3) Main Gear doors close (Correct)
4) Front door opens <- This is taking place at the wrong time. I can not get the times set for this to happen at any other time.

When I click the radio switch for gear up this is what happens:

1) Front door closes <- This is taking place at the wrong time. I can not get the times set for this to happen at any other time.
2) Main gear doors open. (Correct)
3) Gear up (Correct)
4) Main Gear doors close (Correct)

Any Ideas? Changing times does nothing on the sequencer.

Thanks Scott
