RE: Bandit Arf Joins the Fleet
Update on Bandit....
I have about a dozen projects going at the same time....however I do have one of the Elan's finished and it is flying, the second Elan is nearing completion and should be out of the shop soon. I have two SM Dragon's about to show up and one of those is a build job so it will start right away....
On the Bandit, I have not done a single thing, nothing. However I have been collecting up the requisite parts and supplies. I have had a keen eye on the classifieds and have scored some really great deals. I got a complete BVM set of landing gear with struts, wheels, and brakes for just under 400 bucks. They needed to be cleaned up but they are in perfect condition and will work great. I have all the recommended servos as per the build list. I also was able to pick up a engine install kit for just over 200 bucks. The seller said it was like new and he was not kidding. So at this point I have the landing gear, all the servos, and the engine bypass and ducting all for about the same price as a set of new gear from BVM.
All I need is a set of tanks and I will have all the major components covered....building to start ASAP.
Jeff I am sure you will have yours done for Speed World!

Hi Jeff, yes i am using all the recomended servos on the list. I'm also using a JR 1221 2.4ghz receiver, i think it's a JR 6010 voltage regulator and a 4000 mah JR/Spectrum 2S lipo flight pack. I've also opted for the P-80 SE to put the Kero start on it.

Jeff i'm just using one flight pack and i should get 8 to10 flights before recharge. That's what a good friend of mine uses in his and he is also a BVM/ JR field rep. He's never had any issues with this set up. I will also be using this y connector to tie the two switch plugs on the receiver together from the voltage regulator.
