Hehe, yeah that outfit she just bought was only 50 bucks too.

The MST is a seriously nice little rig, I raced against one with my LST2(they through the truggies in MT because there were only 2) and I was always finishing 3/4 - 1 lap down. The driver is a nice dude with good skills and he was matching the pro buggy lap times.

I think the CRT/LSP/Hellfire truggies can easily be beaten with the MST. Its so small and agile, but packs the SW .26 so nothing will catch it down the straight.

Hello all,

Well I finally got to run the Mayhem ST today. Break in was a bit tougher than the Savage and Revo, I think the factory setting is was to rich even for break in. Anyways, I was wondering what you guys have done to stop the Mayhem from bottoming out, also, what is the best way to gain ground clearance ?

Last question, any ideas of a tank that would drop in and increase the fuel capacity ?

Thank you all

Congrats on getting ready to roar. First, the Mayhem ST isn't a Monster Truck. Flat landing of a big jump are going to bottom it out. For racing use the Red springs and 35W oil. If you don't want it to bottom out or less of a chance put in some 50W oil with Stiff springs. I don't know what that would do for handling. It might make it traction roll turning then you'd have to stiffen up the sway bars or get thicker sway bars which might help. If you want ground clearance you'll have to put in the adjustable collar shocks and turn them down. Play with that.

Secondly, You can get a 150cc Kyosho Truggy fuel tank. You'll have to drill a hole in the chassis for the rear mount to move it away from the center diff. There's plenty of room. The front mount remains the same. You'll have to put about a 1/4" spacer under the rear post. You will also loose the fuel filter mount but I added some fuel line and zip tied the filter to the top of the the servo mount above the steering servo. Sounds complicated but it's not. It will make a huge difference in run time. You can also add another fuel filter in line with more fuel line coiled up or use Kyosho fuel line holders which will add to the run time.

Good luck and have fun. [8D]

Just get Mayhem/Turmoil Rear Buggie shocks. 2 pair. They're the same size as your current shocks but adjustable. Might as well get the shock boots while your at it.

Sotoman, that is a very fine looking truggy. That there is what our truck should have looked like coming out of the box IMO. But I still like the shorty chassis too....Very cool for bashing. Just for racing I bet that X-tendo chassis is killer.

Are you going to race that? I plan on getting a chassis for mine too at some point.

RB engine is more for power than speed. My revo cannot beat my mayhem but It has the stock 3.3 in it.

wow, i did not know the mayham was so fast. i am only now finding about this mayham. i that the revo was the fastest truck out there when it comes to drag racing them.
so you mean that the new 3.3 revo cant beat a stock mayham? thats really fast then. what about a drag race with a revo rb23?

anybody else can say this? is this really true?

thinking on getting one now.
let me know????????????????????????????????

if this is so fast imagine then with a faster engine, what other engines do you have in your to make it even faster?

You have to know the the Mayhem ST is direct drive. No transmission and all that other stuff that makes the Revo, T-Maxx etc. slower than they could be. The Mayhem ST is a good basher right out of the box but can be made race ready pretty easily. The stock .26 now the .26v2 is as fast and powerful a motor in its class. The only way it could be faster would be with a top of the line Novarossi RB Mod motor or maybe the new .28 8-Port Axial motors just being introduced to the US.

Yes, I have a Mayhem ST. No, it's not 2 speed. I had a 2.5R Revo that it beat hands down. Don't know about the 3.3. They are totally different trucks.
