How fast does ur HPI go?

RE: How fast does ur HPI go?
Back to the original topic.....
Why would you expect to go fast with a CV-X?? Get a CV-R!
I like to think of HP as Torque/unit time.
If you have a giant waterwheel. It can have in excess of 10000 ft/lb of torque (for argument's sake).
But you'd have to gear it well to use the torque. This is the principle that diesels work on.
Those big rigs are often Inline SIX cylinders with about 12 liters of displacement and prolly put out about 1500 ft/lb of torque at 2200 RPM with a healthy 40 PSI comin from the turbo
On the other hand, you have the S2000's engine which is revv happy and torque lacky.
You can achieve high speeds easily because this car can put out more power in a period of time than a diesel can. this means you can have more top speed because you need the power to compensate for drag.
The sacrifice comes in 2 ways: Less low end torque (VTEC helps here) and less fuel economy (Com eon you know you revv that sucker to 8500 every day!)
Hope that helps. If you think any of the information is wrong... let me know! May truth prevail!

You cannot measure horsepower. You can only calculate horsepower.
You can measure torque though.
Torque X RPM's divided by "5252" = horsepower.
So... your giant waterwheel, spinning at say 25 rpms, would
produce 48 horsepower.
