Any Alternitaves to AMA???
I wonder if anyone with rank in the front
office at AMA is reading any of the above statements.
If not , maybe they should be notified that RCU is alive ,well,
active and perhaps with a larger membership base.
If nothing else , it may get their attention for a while.
After all if we're talking about them maybe they should
know it!
OH , the power of the INTERNET.

Any Alternitaves to AMA???
Except for one or two EC members, the EC consensus is that the internet modeling forums are populated by a bunch a yahoos with nothing better to do - they should get a hobby. :-)

Any Alternitaves to AMA???
Since everybody's on the money trail, I have a somewhat related question.
If Joe Average flyer honed his skills good enough to where he could compete in a world championship, and qualified for the team (in any flight discipline) does the AMA ante-up the money for him to go to go?
I figure between equipment- backup planes/radios/pit equipment, assistant’s/caller’s expense, hotels, and airfare to somewhere in Europe or Japan or wherever, extra luggage fees-cargo rates for all the stuff, and taking time off from work to compete, travel, and practice… It’s got to be around 10 to 20 thousand dollars. Anyone have a recent estimate? I’d be happy to see some of my dues money go to this.
I honestly don’t know how much, if any the AMA pays.
I do know they’re building one hell of a castle in Muncie from all the pictures I see.
They’re even selling golden bricks.
