A while back I exchanged the engine from an OS .61 FX to an ST90. I like the additional power and the Super Tigre runs great. I run it around the sky at 1/2 throttle and when I point it up it climbs verticle in an unlimited fashion. As far makng this plane any more enjoyable to fly, not really, the OS did a great job. Either powerplant is a good however the ST sellng for $119.00,Tower, is a great choice at a fair price.

Well I'm back at it. I changed out the ST G-90 and replaced it with an Evolution .61...(I needed the .90 for another project). The Evo engine is very reliable, easy to start, powerful. This is the 3rd engine in this plane and it continues to be my favorite

I will be putting a RVC 91SP in my newly revamped SU-31. Lots of torque.

I have also this plane i use the 91 os 4stroke.I use 15x5 apc and i have 8400rpm (15 flights has the engine).I dont have alot of torgue for easy hover on 3/5 stick for example and i wonder which is the problem.I have it little nose heavy to handle better as all of my planes.I think the engine needs more flights or the prop is not the right one what you say guys? The cg is correct by the manual?I have it little more front.

Yes , the landing gear is super long. The plane is not built for this landing gear. The maiden flight on mine resulted in the landing gear torn off and the rudder broken in half. I fixed the plane and recoved it with red and blue flames. It was beautiful, until it stalled on a takeoff and nosed in upside down.

yup mines upstairs with the gear tore off a 3rd time after about 25 flights.

if u so much as tap this plane on the field, the gear is history..

on the good side, the plane makes u a good pilot as far as good smooth landings.

if u can grease this in you can land pretty much anything.lol

good landings,

mv
