RE: Tamiya F101GT: Dante's muscle car thread
Thanks man!
I just bought a NIB Mercedes C11 kit with factory painted body today, there seems to be a huge sale on those over here at the moment!
They go for EUR 99,00 instead of EUR 179,00 normal price. I also got my hands on a cheap and brand new set of Street devil chrome wheels! [X(]
So this used Street devil chassis will be sold, together with the painted Mercedes body of the new kit.
There were too many missing parts on the old chassis, so I pulled the trigger on the NIB C11!

Dante,
Great job on the project!! Any plan on upgrading?! Maybe something like aluminum motor mount?

Sheesh, shopping spree, eh!? That's what I like to hear...
What parts are missing on the old chassis?
You see that I am building a Clod now, right?! ha ha ha!!
So you still going to try to sell the HiLift?! I say just build it up already!! I think it is something that you should have in your collection!

RE: Tamiya F101GT: Dante's muscle car thread
There are few plastic parts missing, screws (ones I don't have in my parts bin!), the motor mount plate, etc. When I discovered some wear on the FRP parts, I decided to go for the new kit. Plus this way I have the Goodyear tire stickers!!!!
Let's see what the old, but rare chassis will earn on the bay.
Still torn on the whole Hilux issue, selling it would mean a huge cut in price. But I don't feel like building it. Maybe I will just leave it NIB. [&:]
You've got a Clod now? Vintage or Super Clod? You do have a thread for it, don't you? Can you point me there?

I just posted it at TEX's Super Clod thread... (it is either on page 1 or 2, take a look..)
I got a new Super Clod.. not the original.. so a new build!

RE: Tamiya F101GT: Dante's muscle car thread
Update:
Got the new Mercedes Benz C11 Kit, the finished body and the old chassis now gone to the Bay...
This is a really nice kit to build, pretty simple yet well engineered. Implanted a LRP F1 16T motor, should go well.
Edit: Here are some pics of the chassis build so far:

Thanks!
Yeah, the wheels are nice, but the tire lettering is the icing on the cake. I'm glad I went this way.
Now to drill the holes. I hate doing this! [:@]

change the gearing to 64dp, then put the lowest tooth pinion you can find, you will get insane acceleration.
