Update just got off the phone with Nicole at Baymount inn 270 843-3200. Nicole is the General Mgr. and she assures me the rooms are being blocked. If you guys have any problems call Nicole or i and we will straighten it out. Please get your rooms quick as Bob said.

The heck with the prop Bobcats, I got the SuperLiner about 98% ready, just gotta glue the Nacelles on and we are ready for some formation foamies!!! Ahh... the after hours fun!!

My airliner is getting ratty, still has the duct tape on it from last year, but I plan on bringing it as well as an electric powered Bobcat...woohoo. Gotta start loading the trailer now....

Hey Michael, can we do something like this at the Blue Grass?
Ron Ballard did this last year @ Winamac collecting $455.
He is also repeating the same effort this June.

"Hi Tim,
I am happy to announce that Wren Turbines USA will be hosting the Friday and Saturday meals for the pilots. This is at no cost to the club or pilots. There will be a donation box out for those that wish to donate to the WJM USA team.
Friday night will consist of BBQ chicken, jalepeno poppers and baked beans.
Saturday night will have on the menu....Steak, baked or cheesy potatoes and veggies.
Everyone participating is welcome to bring a side dish of their choice....to make it a family affair.
Wren Turbines USA is also donating a $300.00 certificate towards the purchase of a new Wren turbine.
Looking forward to seeing all of you in June."

I think a good idea would be having a donation bucket at the announcer/ T-shirt table for anyone who would like to help the WJM team and will announce it through out the day. Maybe this will generate some activity from our local crowd that might want to help contribute. Please someone from the WJM team over see and keep up with the funds collected with the girls or guys at the table. This is a great idea and worthy cause. Pilots please help if you can.
The Sat. night Pig Roast and Blue Grass Picking sesion is sponsored by AMT USA, Dads Toys,Jet Cenrtral, Mike's Tint Shop, Spantech Conveyors USA LLC. and the pilots that have supported the event. I do not want funds to be collected at the Sat. night party because the sponsors and the pilots deserve that recognition.

Pilots have already started to show up at this years 2008 Blue Grass Jet Jam. This year should be a record number of pilots for BGJJ. Today is a little cloudy in the mouring clearing after lunch and a great forcast for the weekend. Also thanks for the vendors that have decided to setup at the event . I have had quite a few calls to see if there would be any turbine mfg. at the Blue Grass. I told them yes AMT USA and Jet Central. It looks like our jet hobby is ready for a banner growth due to the number of calls about what a spectator might be able to purchase or get advise on what products are availible and what works.
Again thanks for the support of the sponsors taking care of the Pilot Tents AMT USA ( JOHN LIGONS) AND JET CENTRAL ( ERIC CLAPP). This would have not happened if these guys had not stepped up.
The next group is Spantech LLC Conveyor Co. , Dads Toys, and Mike's Tint Shop for sponsoring the Saturday Night music provided by RAGLEN HILL and freinds a great Blue grass band from our area.
Split Tree BBQ for prepairing and smoking the whole pig for Sat Night meal. Split Tree has a BBQ pit that can smoke 8 whole hogs at one time.( "Come On", "Where Ya At", "Who You With", and the lattest one liner "I Got The Floor". I hope you guys can make it .

Span Tech, LLC CEO/Founder James "Bud" Layne is a huge supporter of RC! He is one of the largest contributors to SKYMAC and our events/facility! Come on out to the Bluegrass Jet Jam and catch up with him! Never thought you might slip out to an RC event and actually get to call it work!!! Super cool guy, and just mention flying and hang on b ecause he is totally into it!
