To no end you can only begin to imagine the power of that statement!!! One of the things I left out was the fact that I took the pull start off so that I could hold the shaft nut to remove the screw holding the flywheel only to have the spring pop out of that thing and take the time to rewind the spring and fix the pull start....that was extreme patience and determination!!!! Took about 30-45 min on that too cause once I got it done i realized I missed the clip hang and the spring came undone again But alas, everything's great now.

Lol, Videos, I'll have to get something going, may start with a few pics once I get the rest of the shocks put on, only had enough to do the rear but it's pretty sweet because the new shocks were a bit longer and now it's raised up in the back to give it a more aggressive look.

Thanks again for the encouragement and support

Hi, im new here, i just got a electric 1:10 truck, (hl2101), the strange thing is that the truck locks its steering to the left whenever the radio is switched on, and if that does not happen occasionally, the steering is twitchy and it always like to steer to the left by itself. and the throttle goes off by itself sometimes too.
Thanks

That sounds like a reciever problem. Did you get it wet? Try switching the steering servo and the throttle servo plugs around on the reciever and see if the steering twitches still or the throttle does (see if the throttle acts like the steering did and visa versa) if so its most likely the reciever.

no there is noway its wet, its a brand new truck i got from ebay, my first one actually, just got it last night, and charged up this morning and it does this ever since.
i tried switching the two plugs on the reciever, the steering still locks all the way to the left whenever the transmitter switches on. the throttle is still not very smooth, it would brake by it self and such.
is there supposed to be a reset button on the ESC? cos i only see a hole on the ESC just above where the red light is. the truck beeps too, when the throttle is on.

The beeping sound is normal, its more of a whine. You reset it by depressing the little white square on the esc, push that in with something small, give the transmitter gas then brake, then leave it in neutral, when done let off the reset button. If it still does it, its most likely the reciever or transmitter since when you switched the plugs it still did the same thing. I would suggest contacting the person you bought it from and explain the situation.

what is the reset button supposed to look like?
mine has a himoto sticker on the ESC, and i was looking for a reset button everywhere until i peel half the sticker off i finally see a square whole, under neath which is the red circuit board.
is it missing a reset button or what?
the square hole is just next to a round hole where the red LED is located under.

i bought this from here http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=380083491354
arent they the retail agent in north america?

They are a retailer, There is supposed to be a reset button below the led light. Its square/rectangular and recessed in the esc.

If its defective or the radio system is, contact them and they should make good on it.

yeah, things happen though, its just the way the hobby is. I am sure they will make good on it but try pushing the reset button and see if that helps you out, it there, recessed in the esc.

Airoscar....

I was thinking ,,,it Might be a Servo that has one wire loose.....
That could be why it sometimes works (but still twitchy). One of the wires might be barely touching (Sometimes) and then you bump the car and POOF, it only turns one direction when the wire Doesnt touch....

HOWEVER......Whatever you do, dont Open any servo or receiver to Check, that would Void the Warranty.....

no it wasnt like that, the steering is ALWAYS steered to the left max, if i use the remote to steer right it would "reluctantly" steer back to center or the right a bit.
and the throttle response is definately abnormal too, it would go and then stop suddenly sometimes, and it would go by itself too.

and the ESC is missing a reset button, lol, its just an empty rectangular hole where the button is supposed to be.

thanks buddy, but mines doest have that white/grey button in there, mine is just straight bare circuit board.

i have another question by the way, this ESC comes with a cap to fit on the metal plates, the cap has rubber fitting on the innerside and aluminum on the outside, kinda looks like a heat sink, i dont seen anybody with a cap on their ESC, so i wonder if i should keep it on there or get rid of it. does it server any actual purpose?

it's the wires that go from the on-off switch and reciever in one plug that plugs onto the ESC, its a wide white plug, and its dead tight. i dont know how im gonna unplug it.

my camera's SD card slot is being funny it keeps rejecting the card, so no picture for now.

well it might be pluged in the wrong way......or jammed in.... im guessing you might have to pull hard to get it out.. but try to get a pic of it before you take it out....
