Dr doom
Are the trim and tail numbers etc painted or film? I'm going to get one but I'd like to trim like a friend's full-scale if I can get off what's on there.
Thanks
Al

My only complaint with all monokoted ARF's is their are no panel lines.

My thoughts are maybe go Gas with Zenoah 20cc Electronic Ignition Gas Engine, or Evolution 26GX (1.6) Gas Engine. anyone here have any idea if these Mills would fly it. or maybe a Saito 100 twin, 4 stroke.

The zenoah 20 is a great motor. I've got the 20 in my recently completed 96" RC Guys 150 Aerobat. No stick time on that combo yet due to weather, but I know others that have the same setup and it works well. It pulls great and it should be a nice match for the Top Flite. I'm just getting back into the sport after a 20 year hiatus and when I saw this Top Flite ARF, well the wallet came out. As mentioned in previous posts, the kit is amazing and from what I've managed to rummage through so far, there are no dissapointments. I personally am going brushless on this build. I've gone per the recomendations with the Rimfire 1.20 and lipo packs. It'll be my first large brushless. Hopefully I don't regret not going gas.

I like the electric option also,no vibration,no hacking up the cowl etc.I may just get one of these.I had the kit version with a OS 91 and it flew great with that engine,I think a 120 is too much unless your going with floats.

Has anyone been able to download the manual from the Topflite website? I've tried several times and all it does is lock up IE.

Robart has a scale set for $60.00. Robart 654 Fixed Steerable Nosegear w/Fork 3/8" Prolly take a bit od modification to get it and the tire inside the wheel pant.

UPS delivered the rest of the brushless system today. It seems pretty hefty and well laid out. I am questioning their choice of a 60A ESC for a system that uses a motor that pulls 50A continuous and 80A peak. Well, that's what they said to use and that's what I bought. Hopefully it doesn't go up like the Hindenburg. Still getting the wings built at the moment but I'll post some pics of the brushless setup in a day or two when I get some other pieces out of the way.

I`m also going electric with this cessna.Are you going with the recommended 5s Li-po set up ?I`m looking into using a 6s set up (2 x 3s in series) as I can just about get 2 x 3s 3300mah packs in the slots provided.A hacker A50 12L on 6s puts out approx 1200 watts (apc-e 18 x 10 prop)
I`ll be interested in your build.
