HI all, progress is coming alone nicely, I just received the paint masks from Promark, they did a great job in getting the masks I wanted.
I spayed the clear on the fuse , last night, using Omni MC 270 4.2 VOC clear. I was using MC 260, but they do not make it any more. MC 270 is a lot more watery, so less reducer was needed.
Still have to finish one wing.
I flew the pre crash Arf with a P70, but am thinking about putting a P80 SE in this one, do I have to upgrade the pipe and bypass.

Looks great Pete.

I put my F-86 on the back burner for now as I wanted to get my FB F-15 done. I did get the new wing cores for the Sabre and they are awsome. Flyingfoam.com Did a great job on them. When I start back on it I will post some Pics.

I can honestly say, that after the crash, when I put the remaining pieces on the table, I never thought I would have a chance, putting it back together, to look like a Bandit. Their where just too many smashed parts.
Would i do it again, no, it just takes a very very long time( too many hours) to do the rebuilt.
But for those whom have minor damage, do the rebuild, the satisfaction is overwhelming.

Hi all, the Frankenstein Bandit is 99% finished, just have to balance and setup the program.
Came in at exactly 24 lbs with fuel in the UAT and 1/4 in the header tank,
Just have to replace the Prolink struts to a heavier class. I'll call you Tod.
Thanks Rcpete

That looks fantastic. I know how much time and effort went into it to get it done and I can certanly appriciate that. I think alot of people would have trashed the Bandit and my F-86 for a lack of skill to rebuild it. Building kits has given us the ability to repair a crashed jetand it is an art that is falling to the wayside. I would really like to see more kit built jets.

The F-86 is comming along nicely. I hope to have her in paint by the end of Jan. I still have a little building to do on her.
Here is the link if you want to take a look.

Also, thank You for helping to pick up the pieces. Except for 3 or 4 pieces on the drop tanks we actually got everything else.

Looks great Pete, yes you will have to change the bypass and the tail pipe to run the P-80se.

HI, thanks Robert, I still think the P70 will fly the Frankenstein OK. When I rebuilt Francis Pischner's Composite Bandit, it flew great on a P70 on a cool day. Pischener's Bandit is still flying.
