S6S - is the throttle issue happening while more than one person is flying at once? I have had some interference trouble when flying more than one at once - it does not happen all the time, but it never happens with just one flying - or does it happen when the controller is not pointing towards the heli? because the control is infrared rather than radio, it needs line of sight to the heli - this is not strictly true since the IR signal can reflect and bounce off other things to get to the heli, but the signal can be blocked - essentially, it is like the remote to your TV - also, it can be interfered with by bright light, especially sunlight which has a strong IR component

The heli was all by itself. In fact the other helis were about 15-25 miles away. I took dads out to him and we charged it up and put fresh batteries in the controller. We were trying to fly itindoors also. You could throttle up the whole way and it just sat there, then it would take off by itself, and go aimlesly though the air by itself. (Maybeit was on autopilot) LOL.We held the transmitter any where from 1/2" away from it to 10 feet. Still it acts funny. You have no control over it. Once it takes off you can shut the throttle completly off and it will still be going full tilt.

make sure the a/b/c is set for the right one, heli has it on the bottom.

i noticed that there is a channel printed on the body in addition to the little red sticker with the channel letter - the sticker is right - if it is set to the right channel, it sounds like something may be wrong with it

We tested all the channels also. Not a response on B or C. Its marked with A, and A is the only chanel that even does anything to it. I am going to take my heli out tomorrow to dads and try to fly his heli with my transmitter and like wise with his to try to eliminate if its the heli or the transmitter.

Figured it out. Flown dads heli with my controller worked well. Flew my heli with dads controller, works well. We sat and discussed it cause there has to be some type of interference. We totally forgot about the underground electric dog fence. We are not sure but there is a interference problem in the house. They have satillite service too. Other then that we cant think of anything. But heli is fine.

as the battery starts to wear down it will start to do it, i try to set it so the trim is centered when i first start from a new charged battery.

if you read the instructions they tell you to not fly or keep in direct sunlight....I have noticed some heli's prefer their controller..I had a A and B and the A wouldnt act right with the B contoller when switched to A...why I dont know, it just didnt...also like Brian mentioned the controller needs to be pointed at the heli at all times...

I did have one that crashed and a wire to the bottom blade motor came off...tried to solder it back on with no luck (got it back on still no power to the motor, may have messed up the chip when heating it)...anyways I dont know exactly how it happend due to it wasnt mine..the person bought my other heli to replace it...so now I'm down to one agian..lol

S6S - I'm glad you got it working. I would really be thinking "light" sources when looking for possible interference since it is IR (infrared light) controlled. I suppose radio interference (RF) could potentially be an issue, but I think it is unlikely. Any heat lamps or grow lights around? Any infrared devices like laptops or cell phones that link via infrared around? Any wireless game system infrared controllers being used? I really do not know all the things that are infrared, but these are some things to think about.

When I told dad that the controller worked like a tv remote, he said maybe your mom was changing channels on the tv. LOL It sounds funny, but wonder if channel up will speed the heli up and channel down slow it down. LOL All this frustration and the old neighbor is looking out his window pushing buttons on his remote. HAHAHAH!</p>

Excal - I was really talking more to S6S who is having strange interference - I think the trim question you have is like Eddie said. I had the same issue and found that setting the trim to center with both the remote and heli off, then turning on the remote followed by the heli would recenter the trim and allow me to trim it out. Also, as you fly, if you are knocking into stuff, the leading edges of the blades get nicked up. I have found that to be another thing that changes the trim and makes it change throughout a charge. If I do not hit anything at all, the trim stays more constant through a charge.

bk your exactly right, on the setting trim to center each time you fire up the Heli. I learned that after the first flight and it was stillturning to the left by itself. And I was out of trim that way. And your also correct on the blade edges. The more nicks the more out of whack it can become. I also have found that if you have forced air heat, air conditioningor adrafty house, this willpush the Heli around. If youhover it in front of you you can actually knock it out of the air if you blowhard at it. So watch the air flow in the house. When we flewin Dads garage and thehuge ass furnace kicked on, all you had to do was keep a good height on it.The air would suck it between the office and the lift then blow it back out towards the garage doors. There was no controlling it. But you got good lap times. LOL

well got back from class went to fly the wolf when i read bk's post about nicks on the rotors i checked mine over and found many dings in the rotors so i took a little sand paper and carefully sand the top and bottom of the rotors on the leading edge careful not to remove to much material i couldnt get all the dings out but i got rid of alot of burs on top and bottom of the rotors and the wolf flys alot better and i dont have to adjust trim as much so i figured id share the info

Same here with other people banging mine up. Ipulled it out of the box charged it, flew it around no problems no smashes and even landed it. My one friend was here and asked to try it out. Well it had several dates with the ceiling and the fireplace, then the stone floor. He said "man I should have got one" Ireplied with, "your goona be buying one real soon, if you know what I mean"

I have one of the helis in my office at work (stress relief!). Our insurance rep came in today for a meeting and saw it and asked about it. Apparently, he has a couple (other brands) already. I turned it on and flew it around a little. Before he left, he got the web site so he could order one for himself! I'll tell you, these things are so cool. Everybody that sees them wants one! Whoever came up with this product at Himoto - nice work!
