I'm one of the lucky ones!
In the first year of marriage, my wife "forced" me to build a 12x24 shop dedicated to "ONLY model planes"! She wired, cut outlet holes, held stuff, got sawdust in her hair, and generally worked side-by-side with me on the whole project.
The night before a fly-in or swap-shop she is like a kid at Christmas--no sleep!
She never asks, "How much?", but "How long will it take to get here?"
One of my Valentine's presents was a 4-stroke engine!
And, no, she doesn't have a sister!

Wives involved in the Hobby
I've been flying for 21 years now. Started before I even knew who women were. My first girl friend was a fellow fliers sister. The ones from her to my first fiancee weren't around enough to make it to the field. My first fiancee went to the field with me regularly and had a lot to say when it came to covering them. She would travel all over the north east to all the giant scale meets too. We split but not due to flying. I've been married now for 12 years and the wife supports the hobby immensely. From input about the covering to coming to the field. My son flies and has been since age 9 and my daughter likes to just come watch daddy fly and she loves doing loops. It is a great family hobby.

Photo of my bride and I
Hideho all,
Well, I just couldn't pass on this thread anymore without showing off my bride of 16 years.
Mother of 2 terrific children and our one desire is to be together as long as it takes to put our teeth in the same glass over night...
She supports me in my hobby with only an occasional check up from the neck up when I get a wee bit heavy handed with the checkbook. This photo was taken last weekend at Lake Tahoe, Ca.
Oh, and the Pug's name is Elvis

couldnt help but bring this thread back, lol.
Well, I have to so off again, I was able to take my girlfriend to Warbirds over louisiana, and she enjoyed it, lol, other than all my friend poking fun at us, which was to be expected. I havent gotten her airborn yet, but she wants to, I just got to take her to the field, gain her moms trust first. She hasnt built anything, but she is designing the color scheme for my dynaflite chipmunk, cant wait to see what she comes up with. Her she is, my girl.
I havent had her take any pics with a plane yet, shes particluar about where and when she wants a pic to be taken, but she will take a pic with my munk, and once again ill have to show off, lol.

I'm like Arnold Schwarzenegger in "true lies" my wife thinks I have a second job and that the basement is only full of junk, little does she know I'm a raging R/C addict that has thousands of dollars in the R/C hobby and that I go flying 9-5. And the RCadmin is code for "marc when are we gonna fly and where".

My Fiance couldn't understand the R/C addiciton. Always complained about how much money and time I spent. I find it to be a great stress reliever -- work 40 hours a week and take 18 credit hours a semester at school. I would always remind her that I could be spending $50 a night at the bar like my buddies. Long story short, she left.
Oh well, now every room in the house has a part in different stages! I made sure to do that right when she moved out, LOL

BTW, everyone at work has been telling me to ask my flying buddies to hook me up with one of their daughters! I don't think you couldn't ask for a better son-n-law LOL!
