Gentlemen, the first three Panthers came off the moulds with white gel coat. Very strong fuselage and resonably finish on the exterior as the quality of the moulds was not intended for this many Panthers. But alright for the intended purposes here. Weighing at 1.3 kg (2.86 lbs) with hatches. The strength is great and we can get away with minimal number of formers. I will have the wood formers and wing plug installed and from looking at the quality of the fuse, I will have them as "ready for finish" form with wing mounting tube preinstalled and aligned. Thrust tube and retract/brakes will be offered as options. ARTF version will be offered as well. Will get back here very soon with prices...

Here is a picture.

..and another picture..note the carbon strips ont he fuse front section, this added tremendous strenth the fuse and no formers are needed here.

Hello
Im interested in what kind of sealing you are using in the breaks
I have build my KJ 66 so now I have to start with the plane Own design trainer) and I have to have brakes on a jet so can you reveal something about those breaks.
Thanks

Hi Panthers lovers,

I am working on wood parts and the wing/stab. I will have to see whether the formers can be pre-installed as many alignments must be done with the wing root finished and installed before gluing. I assumed that most of you guys interested are pretty experience with fiberglass fuse and building. Also servos positioning can be done in so many ways that I will have to leave this to you to decide.

I am looking at USD750.- plus actual shipping cost that will incurred. Via consolidated shipment, the cost can be much reduced compared to UPS.

Option: Tri-gear retracts/brakes/struts will cost USD450.-

Option: ARTF with paint/finish/thrust tube will cost another USD600.-

You are looking at USD1,800.- for finish and ready to fly minus radio and turbine.

At these prices, please indicate whether you guys are still interested so I can continue with production.

Be sure to put my name on the list for one of your basic kits and a set of retracts with struts, no brakes.

Please email me to confirm.

Thanks,

I now have 3 Panthers and five more in a week. I will keep you posted as to when the basic kit will be ready and the cost of shipment to the USA. I like the quality considered the condition of the jig/moulds. A bit busy but will try my best to get the arrangement done as quickly as possible. Please be patience.

Ken, I cann't reach your email thru RCU. My email: [email protected]

B777,

I would still like to purchase the one kit that I have reserved but I'm anxious to find out what the shipping charges would be. Would it be cheaper if all of the kits slated for the US were shipped to one address and then dispersed from there? Let us know------Thanks, Kevin

I am doing this as an individual and to have some kind of forwarder in the US, you need to be registered as company. It should work the same as when I order kits from the USA, I pay and they ship. I am trying to find the best consolidated shipping method to save shipping cost. We can work this out if you really want the Panther. I have ordered kits from all over the world including the very big boxed, Avonds F15.

B777,
I'm still in. At this point I would like to opt for the ARTF version, minus the gear and brakes.
I'm in no hurry. Forward Air perhaps would be a good shipper for me as I could pick it up at the CVG International airport.

Thanks,
Jack

I'm still in too , provided shipping isn't unexpectly high.

I think I'm only a 100 miles or so south of Kevin Green and WD40
so maybe these COULD be shipped to one address???

I see your points and will utilize best shipping method to the USA. I hate expensive shipping as well.

Five more Panthers has arrived with the first three being prep. I am a bit slow in the process being so busy with my flight schedule. Please bear with me.

Construction for turbine with pipe installed and if the make of turbine is known, the mounting can be made to suit. Retracts can be fitted as well. More detail if you are interested. We have built more than 10 of these Panthers. All flown very well.

Panther lover,

Did anyone receive this kit yet that was on the original list. Just curious as to your thoughts of quality, cost delivered, building progress, etc...

TIA

I haven't send out any Panthers to the US yet. The project is still very alive but going at slow pace due to restricted resources. We will see first few RTF version soon and these are for the guys in the USA. Progress will be posted here. thanks.

What could one expect as a flying weight for the Fiberglass fuse/foam wing version versus the Ziroli version??

That kit was one of the early PST. kits I would use PST wings , put you could make Z. wings work . You can get foam wings for Z. I would just build up a wing . I have a nice panther kit 80" for sale Dan Gill kit
