Default RE: 3.3 only makes 1.06 hp?

Because calibrating a mechine to 1 HP can have different forces on it, ie, 1 HP is not always 1 HP, depending how the tester wants it configured , mm, depending on what product they want to sell, where as 1 Nm will always be, and cannot change because 1 Nm of force will always be 1 Nm of force no matter what machine its calibrated on.Using HP is not as scientificly sound as those above believe, for all the equasions they post, they fail to understand that companies are allowed by law to fiddle these figures based on there own , they DO NOT ALL USE THAT EQUASION AS A LAW, its flawed as a scientific means of true measurement, why do you think humans went over to the Nm Kw measuring system, maybe the get educated comment is in context here, because its a more scientificly accurate way to measure, end of story. Its a universal way to test where everyone is one the same sheet and understands, but hp, HP can be fiddled way to easy and by law done without false advertising, but you tell me, does the GEN motor really have 5.75 HP, ppffftt jokers.....dont debate if you like, you have already lost, and a Nm measurement on that GEN motor equalls what ? hahahahahahahah this really is funny, because l come from the mechanical industry too, lve used these machines, HP as a form of reliable measurement is UTTERLY USELESS if you want to truelly compare one engine to another, you need a Nm or Kw reading to get the TRUTH.

How many exsamples do you want me to post of miss used advertising in regards to the HP rating ?
Wanna go there ?
Because lm gunna ask you to post all the missleading Nm or Kw exsamples you can find, wanna really dig the dirt up people ?
Australia uses Nm and Kw as a standard in our car industry for TV advertising, because it was found that HP was missleading............

See how stupid this really is, HP is not what WE, the people who spend there money on these things, want, WE WANT a NM and a Kw reading, for the sake of being able to actually tell what engine is better on paper/ screen, you argue right here and now that a Nm reading on the CEN 5.75 HP engine isnt as accurate, and argue that if all these companies had to use the Nm readings, a much sounder system, that the GEN motor really is that powerfull, up there with the picco's , LOL joke that is, and argue that if all were made to use Nm over HP we couldnt get an extreemly accurate picture of what motor really outputs the most power, it would end all the double lie ratings that you get with the HP rating, tell me again was it 2+ HP the 3.3 was rated at, what a joke, rated independently at .96 HP, l could paste ratings from .96 to 2.2 and anywhere inbetween and be correct with HP, what a utter and total joke, and you guys argue for the HP rating, l wonder how many engines you have that you think are more powerfull than they really are.....

HP really does just give an AVERAGE, not a perfect result ever.

l ask you, mr science, what do they rate electric motors with ? HP, or Nm or Kw ?

What you're not understand beer=food is that 1 horsepower is ALWAYS 1 horsepower. It is not variable. It is defined as torque * RPM / 5252. You measure the torque (force), multiply it by the RPM of the engine, and then divide it by 5252. That gives you the horsepower. Kw works the same way, you measure the Nm (force), multiply it by the RPM of the engine, then divide it by 9549. That gives you the Kw. This is how it's done. Because they are measuring the same thing, they can be converted to one another. 1HP is ALWAYS .75 (.74569987158227022 to be exact) Kw. 1Kw is ALWAYS 1.34 (1.3410220895950279343237855726746 again to be exact) HP. Kw is no more accuarate than HP, it's just another unit of measure. Just like centimeters are no more acurate than inches, they're just another unit of measure. Ft-Lbs and Nm are also just units of measure for force. 1Nm is .737 Ft-Lbs. 1Ft-Lb is 1.356 Nm. This does not vary. You can argue all you want, but this is fact.

Also for your question, electric motors are measured in HP and KW. I usually see them in HP here in the U.S.

Beer=Food.

Your argument here has no real chance, Yes companies can lie about there HP ratings. But what stops you from thinking that a company cant lie about Kw and Nm?????????? As robwjilas said, there just different units of measurmens.

FYI the Cen .46 on our dyno made about 1.4X HP (I'm just going off memory) and every measuring device can be "tricked" into reading high/low. And that's even if they have a device (in our case dyno).

You at some point have to trust something. Or maybe you're just at the age where you think everything is a scam and the world is a lie. And sometimes that is right, but there are sources of accurate information...and maybe even a little school to help you understand math, lol.
