TOO LOW, full flaps will smoke them.

They used to recommend SAVOX SV1250MGP which are Torque @ 7.4v - 8.0 kg-cm/111.1 oz-in. Now they recommend AccuTORQ 220SG which are Stall Torque @ 8.4V : 222 oz. / in (16kg).

Thanks.

Smile Ready for Maiden!

Hi Guys, I'm late to this party, My T-One Mini is ready to Maiden, I got lost in the posts about CG position,,, my only thoughts is that some people had their UAT on the tray, and some had it on top of the fuel tank,, but there is no way I can't have all my batteries above the noseleg,, (with UAT on top of fuel tank).

I've decided I'll maiden it with bigger heavier Rx Batts to bring CG to front of wing tube, and if all goes well, will drop back to smaller Rx Batts which works out around rear of wing tube... does that sound feasible????

Cheers

Bob

BobFlint: That a good way to go. Start at the front of the wing tube and move to the back as you get comfortable. I think I had mine at the back of the wing tube.

A friend of mine has the new X65 in his and it flys really well because it is light. As this video shows, most owners don't go above a 80 size turbine. Personally, I reckon that the K102 would be too big and heavy.

Had an 85 in mine and it was a blast!

Personally I wouldn’t go any smaller, but it will certainly fly on smaller than an 85.

I have my timer set for 9 minutes and land with reserve fuel remaining. I figure if I push it (and fly slow for a change) I could get 12 minutes easy. I often fly this airplane wide open!!! (too fun)

How??? It's the fuel flow on this G2 Kingtech K-70. It's very low.

I have a stock tank (guessing 1700ml) and a separate, yet stock, smoke tank on top. BVM UAT. That's it.
I could not find any fuel flow numbers in my manuals. However, the G4 K-70 is 230 g/min while the G4 K-85 is 300 g/min (Kingtech website).

Now, contrast that with my Swiwin SW-80. That has an 1800ml tank and I often fly it at reduced throttle. The timer on that airplane is 6 minutes landing with reserve, but less than the K-70. The Swiwin site show 270 g/min fuel flow.

I hope this helps.

I had a Bee SE in mine with stock tank and smoke. My timer would start when pulling taxi tank and it was set for 6 minutes. Timer would go off, gear pass and land. Had maybe a1/4 tank left which is where I like to be to give two or three go arounds if needed. My second one might get maidened tomorrow with the same setup. Your K-70 must be very efficient. Thanks for the info.
