Easy Flying CAP232 or Extra
I am looking for a 25% to 28% Cap 232 or Extra 300 ARF type plane that is easy to handle. I would like to use a gasoline engine in it as well. I am looking for one that will land slowly. What are your recommendations.

Yep the WH Extra is exactly what you want. Easy to handle, flies great.
The Patty is not that easy to fly from all that I've heard. It flies heavy with a gas engine. Wing loading too high. Lot's of crashes reported in RCU. Do a search.

A good entry Extra would be a Wildhare Extra. Give them a look.

Thats good to know. I should have expected so since all of GP's planes are designed around glow engines (slimers). For the WildHare Edge they require some pretty hefty servos. Since I don't plan on flying 3D can I get buy on a smaller 42cc engine and just high torque servos? I just like to put around the sky and do a few rolls and snaps for the most part. I also want to keep it reasonably light.

I have to disagree that the GP Patty is crash prone, any more than any of the other Extra's, Edge's or Cap's. My GP Patty is now into it's 3rd season, hundreds of flights. It lands very easily, fly's light and takes just about anything you give it. If you use the GP recommend gasser (Fuji) it will be heavy as pointed out previously, just build it with a light motor (ZDZ 40 or DA 50). You really can't go wrong with any of the recommendations.

You would be better off with a Dave Patrick Extra 300 or Edge 540T with the 42cc gas engine. Use Hitech 645MG. The WildHare are built specially for 50-60cc gas engines.

A Wildhare Extra/Edge would be the way to go 399.99 dollars and it is a great ARF, is perfect size for a 50cc Gasser,,,,,,,,,,,,,, If you go with a Patty buy the time you get thru you will have a heavy feeling plane with a 50cc gas engine and will almost have the same amount of money in it,,,
