Default What is a good plastic parts lube?

I am building a corona120. My first scratch build and I need a good plastic parts lube that won't hurt the plastic.

What parts are you trying to lube?
I have never worked with that model, but on all of the helis that I have worked on, very little lube was used. Most bearing surfaces had bearings.

Trying to lube ball links etc., all plastic to plastic joints. too many to list. regular oil degrades plastic I am told.

On all of the helis that I have worked on, the ball links are dry joints. If there is friction, you need to size the link on the ball. Many people do this with pliers, gently squeezing the link on the ball. Use a smooth set of pliers. Needle nose pliers often have a smooth section deeper in the jaw. Squeeze from different angles.
There are also link sizers that remove material from the inside of the link.
Adding oil will only mask the problem of an improperly sized joint, and collect dust and dirt, making the joint higher friction again.

You don't lube plastic ball joints, period, the accumulated dirt will have them worn out in no time.

If you insist then try super lube, very good stuff, I am sure there are many others. All the lube will do is gather dirt.

White grease is OK on plastic also. You have to remember one thing, plastic only means the material is form-able, therefore there are many types of !QUOT!plastic!QUOT! all having different properties. So what type of plastic do you want to lube ??.

Sorry guys,,,, of corse thanks, excuse me. I really wanted to lube where the swash plate joins the upper bearing block. There seems to be a lot of friction there. I have adjusted the links up and down but I think it would be a lot better with a little grease. Is a little silicone grease ok?? As far as the ball joints, it was just the first thing I could think of to say. I was in a hurry at the time. Didn't mean to sound inapreciative VinceHerman and Jemo. I need all the help I can get.
Thanks again
Donnie

I use pure silicone spray, It is the only lube suggested for high quality ($300+)plastic airsoft AEG( automatic electric gun )6mm pellet machine guns, I have used it on my T-rex gears, it does not seem to attract dirt/grit, I think it works great.

Yes, a dry silicone spray will not attract dirt and is fine with any plastics that I have ever used it on. I used to use it a lot when I had an abundant supply of it.

Airsoft Atlanta has the same brand I use, STTI taiwan is the name, two 60ml cans $14, just be careful not to get any on a hard smooth floor, slicker than an ice rink!
