Default Ordering a 3D Buddy

Ok, I'm gonna do it. Going to get a 3D Buddy. Have a few questions though...

What else do I need to buy other than what I see in the "Requires" section?

Do I need Balsa USA CA? If so, do I need the Thin Penetrating Formula or the Thick Gap Filling Formula?

This is my first non-RTF so I'm brand new into the whole building thing even if it is ARF. So I basically have nothing as far as tools go.

You'll need thin CA just for 2 hinges.

You'll need a lipo and servos. The plane comes with everything else.

I suggest you get Lipo and charger from RadicalRC.com.

Let me know if you have any other Q's.

It doesn't come with a receiver, so I'll need that too right?

Oh yea. I really like the FMA M5. Full range dual conversion and very reliable even indoors with lots of other folks flying. Radical RC should have all the extras you need for electrics.

You can use a standard RX too if you have it. Unless this is your first plane.

Give radical a call ... we've sent a few people over for 3D Buddy equipment.

Oh boy, it stinks being so clueless when it comes to the li-po's.

I went to Radicalrc.com and found a ton of options. I know I want a 3 cell 1200 maH pack right? Can you take a look and tell me exactly which one that is?

Now, once we figure that part out, I have to get a charger for it. Does every battery pack work with every charger or do you have to make sure you have the proper connectors? Likewise, if I get a battery, how do I know if it'll plug into the receiver just fine? Do I need special connectors there too?

So many questions :-) Basically, will someone hold my hand and walk me down the shopping aisle

Another question...

Do I have to connect wires to the motor? If so, is this normally done with soldering?

Charger HECO Lipo Solution Charger - $60
http://radicalrc.secure-mall.com/sho...68&cart=290628

Battery you need to call, it's not on the site.
1100 MAH - 3Cell - 20C - Like $35 or $40 ... Ask for Chris

Connectors ... ask them ... get the Deans connectors.

It's best to solder the motor to the ESC.
