Default YS 63

I ordered a YS 63 by phone on approximatley March 3 of 2005. I had also ordered a boxer that I recieved on the 7th. I was told that the engine would ship at the same time as the boxer. As of this date I still have not recieved the engine. Could the fine folks of OMP let me know the status of this engine or do I need to call the shop.

Ed have you looked in the Boxxer kit box? It was shipped together.

I will look in the box tonight. The box feels light but I will check.

Thanks and I will get back with you

Light is our motto.

It's in there.

Thank you, the engine was in the box. I never thought of looking in the box as it was just way to light to have all the stuff in there. It looks like all is there. On another note what size carbon pushrods would you recommend?

Red Ed, I'm helpin put another Boxxer together right now that we are thinking about putting carbon pushrods on. While most of the pushrods are really too short for a carbon pushrod(such as the aileron to servo rods), the aileron interconnects would benefit from the carbon rod, and its possible that the tail would benefit as well.

My suggestion would be to try it on the aileron interconnects and the elevator. Don't put a carbon rod on on the rudder though. With the prototype Boxxers, I did many tail taps where the 2-56 pushrod just flexed instead of breaking the rudder or stripping servo gears.

So if I go with a carbon push rod set I will only want to put them on the interconnects and the elevator. That makes sense not putting something that stiff on the rudder. Thanks for the advice.

Ed
