I bought this truck without any information.

The seller thought it was a duratrax.
Is it Himoto?
Does anyone have a guess as to what is broken on the steering?
Was $50 a good price?
Looks like I have a little work to do.

It looks to me like a Himoto Viper, but I'm not sure. I'm just comparing photos of it to current Himoto products. If it is a viper, parts are inexpensive, and will usually arrive in 2-4 business days from time of order. check with Eddie, or anyone else that has a Viper to make sure. Eddie is HimotoRacingUSA on here. his website is himotoracingusa.com and he has any part you may need, and in the event he doesn't have it, he can get it. Best of luck!

EDIT: Yeah, I'd say $50 is a good price, if it is a Viper, they are over $200 new.

it does look like a viper xst with an sh.18 engine.  Just be careful of that engine since it looks pretty dirty in that picture and there is no air filter on it.  $50 is a good price.  We have all the parts for it.

I'd agree it looks like an xst, as for the front end problem it looks like the turnbuckle is turned out too far on the exhaust side, or it's stripped. Hard to say what the seller meant by steering knuckle, I don't know what his knowledge of r/c's is. Maybe you could post some more pics of it from different angles, all I could see was the turnbuckle issue.

Nice "touch" for the seller to put the Revo body in it. Kind of deceiving.

It sure looks like a viper. The body that came with it says AMAX on the windshield.
So maybe an amax thwarter.
Anyway the only thing wrong was a loose grub screw on the rear drive shaft.
The engine seem good after a little tuning.
He even gave me a tc3 TX with the truck.
I think I made a helluva deal.
