Why would you buy a revo for $450.00 when you can buy a losi lst for $550.00 (many online sites) . The lst gives you a real engine, radio and a much better starting system. The lst is hands down faster when equipped with racing wheels/tires and will out handle any traxxass. The dynomite .26 engine is what every traxxas owner strives for!!!! Also the lst is much tougher and durable. It comes with crawling gears and reverse.I am serious about these comments and would like some real feedback. Why would anyone buy a revo?????

i saw one of those lsts at the track. he didnt break in the engine (i dont know why he was driving it...), but my goodness, that thing had some power!! handled very well as well. I was impressed.

Outside of the USA parts are a lot easier to get for Traxxas trucks than overs, and this can be a consideration for many people. Wish it weren't so but it is [&:]

first of all the lst isnt more durable then the revo ive heard so many problems with the lst such as washer getting stuck in the engine. people are having to take apart their engine when they first get it! their are problems with the gearboxes and reverse and many more problemes. I havent heard one major thing wrong with the revo except for traxxas putting the wrong gear in the bulkheads but traxxas has sorted that now. i admit that losi give you a better radio but thats nothing if your getting better quality components on your truck and new improved ideas that might change the nitro monster truck world {onboard shock to protect the shocks from dirt and damage from a head on crash. the optidrive telling the servo when its safe to change into second and much more}. I havnt heard one major complaint from people thats purchased a revo all happy customers. And most of the extra money that you pay out on the lst is just for the radio.

a revo will outhandle a lst, u say the lst comes with reverse SO DOES THE REVO, the revo starting system is fine my cousins starts first time everytime, u say the lst is faster when has the racing wheels and tyres y would u want a lst if the revo is already faster without modding it TELL ME THAT

As far as I know, all cars, trucks, planes, and boats(except kits) have a real engine and radio, if it was fake, it simply would not run. The starting system may be better IMO, but some people prefer the EZstart over the rotostart thing. Its all in a matter of opinion. As far as I have seen, no one wants the Dynamite .26. I went to my hobby shop to get a revo after reading all the stuff about it, they had a LST that I couldve got if I waited a week or so, but I didnt get it, I got the Revo because of everyone talking of how race ready it was, and they were right. I went to my track to race one day(only time I've been, i'm still sorta new) and the whole MT class was full of Revos, that should tell you something. I'll go over and look at the LST section right here on RCU every once in a while, and thank God I didnt get one. Like I said, its all in a matter of opinion, and it seems like your too stubborn to understand that people like different things.

Dream on! First off, NOTHING on the market handles better than a Revo. The LST has a real engine? Go back to the LST section and read about all the REAL problems with that engine. No traxxas owner strives for that Mach .26 quality. That statement is just ignorant. The LST is tougher, and more durable? I have yet to see ANY LST at my track finish a race without breaking. Yet alone a FIVE MINUTE qualifier. Why would anyone buy a Revo? Because its a Revo, and its better.

If you own a LST, then why would you come over to the traxxas forum in the first place? And to talk noise? Can you not read titles of forums? Are you a turd? How bout I hook my E-maxx up to your LST and strip those fragile almost transparent outdrives you got? Or how about I come over to the Losi forum and make a similar post against the LST? Oh wait a minute I have a little something called COMMON SENSE!!!! In the words of Bill Engval "Here's your sign" thopper. Get a life. Final thought: If your going to put another truck down, then at least do some research on that truck and it's problems/capabilities/accomplishments (if you know how to do research that is). Then, maybe we might admit the truck's weakness'.

Well, I'm a Traxxas owner, and I was striving for Mach .26 quality. After having experience with several TRX 2.5 engines, I never want to own another one.

After my experience with the LST's Mach .26, I actually bought another one to put in my Tmaxx. That engine has been a dream compared to my nightmarish experiences with the TRX 2.5 engine. Removal of the washer can be done at the same time that you seal the backplate before break-in, so it doesn't even take any extra effort.

I was really excited about the Revo when I first heard of it. I wanted one real bad, but in the end, I knew I'd be swapping out the TRX 2.5 when I first opened the box. It just made more sence to me to buy a truck that already had an engine that I'd be happy with, then to buy a Revo just to immediatly buy a new engine for it.

I realize there are many happy Revo owners out there, just as there are many happy LST owners. That's why we have options, so we can choose the best product for our own personal tastes.

It's pretty crappy for someone to come in here just to trash the Revo.

take a look at the lst forum its nothing but bother about the engine, diff's gone bad, ooh my washer has destroyed me, losi wont help me and constant beatings about the truck breaking. now look at the traxxas forum nothing but praise for the revo

yes we all have problems with our trucks but if everything was perfect then we would all only need one truck, every 1 running the same thing, but, since everything is not perfect then stop saying that one truck is better than the other until u have proof against it ( ie. a vid of the lst beating a revo in a track race) i for one do not go over to the losi forum and flame the lst and i have no intentions of needing to either

just remember we revo owners can easily turn around and say your truck is 1/8th and the revo is 1/10th and also lst's have a bigger engine but since i wont stoop to your pathetic level i wont

now why dont u grow up stop being a little child and go and break your truck, just remember not to go too heavy on the throttle u wouldnt want to do reall hard damage to your truck!!!!!!!!!

The reason he (4wheelin) broke it in half was because all he does with his truck is insane jumps.

Check out some of his videos. He has a jump in his yard that he hits at full speed and always gets distances of around 50 feet or more. He's been doing this since he bought the truck several months ago. In fact, that's all he's ever done with it. He doesn't race or anything, he just tries to get more and more distance in the air.

Go and ask him. He's actually really impressed with the durability of the LST considering the major abuse he's dealt to it. Any truck is bound to break with that much abuse. Oh, and the parts to fix what he damaged are $8.50.


That's just not true. As a owner of both a LST and a Tmaxx, I follow both forums. Look at the LST forum right now. There is one post about a broken diff case, one post about 4wheelin's broken side rails, several posts about new products, several posts about newbie questions on tuning and stuff, and several posts about how happy people are with their trucks.

That's not nearly the way you described it.

Now look at the Traxxas forum. There are 4 posts of overheating and stalling issues, 1 engine that broke in half, 1 broken diff, 3 trucks with tranny and gear troubles, and 1 guy who's having trouble with the ez start.

I think you need to get your facts straight.

look at niffkens videos the menace goes well over 60ft high and that dont break and that goes faster, but the lst does break so it aint very durable for a truck

Are you talking about that video where the guy jumps his Menace and the engine falls out of the truck on the landing? The one where the truck shatters on impact?
