Default Need a good replacement carb for a 3.3

Hey all,

I've done alot of reading and searching and NOBODY has ever come right out and anwsered this question. They always give opinions or solutions but haven't come right out and answered it. And the question is, What would be a good replacement carb for the 3.3? Mine is trashed and I'm not going to JB weld it or RTV it and I'm not going to spend a dime on another composite carb(body OR complete). I just would like to know what would be a good replacement. Thank you very much

A good replacement carb would be a new 3.3 carb.
Look on ebay or towerhobbies and get a new one. You said you weren't going to fix your and you weren't going to spend a dime on a new one, so .....I guess that means you will have to use the same carb.... there is no replacement besides the 3.3 carb or the 2.5 carb

No I said I wasn't going to spend a dime on another COMPOSITE carb. And as far as there being no replacement, I find that very hard to believe. There has to be an aluminuim carb out there somewhere that will fit the 3.3.

Do a search on a replacement carb for the 2.5. The 3.3 and 2.5 use the same carbs so a relacement for a 2.5 will work for a 3.3 also. I seem to remember that there's an OS carb that some have used for the 2.5. I just don't remember any numbers - something like a 10b is what I'm remembering but I doubt that I've remembered it correctly.

Wow ! there expensive!

It looks like if i ever need a carb i will just buy a whole new engine.

May as well they dont last forever and i could use the old one for parts or something to mess with, or sell it or give it away and still be doing better than buying a 80 dollar carb for a 100-200 dollar engine.

thats my plan.
