You should get a new glow plug for starters. If your starting it in colder weather it will also be hard to get it going. leave the glow starter on for a few seconds after it fires. If that doesn't work then you probably need to adjust the carburater to factory settings and you should also use the same fuel as before. by the way your truck is a piece ( i know because i have one) but it sure goes.

Also have same truck, and starting to agree that it's a piece of ......
Keep losing parts, getting frustrated already.
Try turning up the throddle control on the remote to give it more gas (slowly turn it back counter clockwise once its running)
remove the nylon hose going from the gas tank to the muffler, and blow into it to push gas to the carb.
Make sure glow plug igniter is charged.
You can remove glow plug to see if it gets red, if not, it'll never start.
Good luck. Heading back to looking for a pinion gear for the central gearbox.

Do not blow into the gas tube. leave it connected and cover the exhaust hole with your finger. slowly pull the starter cord to primer the engine. Then remove your finger from the exhaust and try and start it.

turn down the big screw on the carb clockwise...all the way, then turn it counterclockwise about 3 times...make sure that your glowplug warmer is charged, hold your finger over the muffler and make sure the air leaves the fuel lines and that the fuel traces all the way up to the carb...set your throttle trim all the way back on your remote and give it a try, if it doesn't start after about ten pulls, then you're either using the wrong fuel or your glowplug is bad...
