Replaced servos on CP now...
Everything is backwards! I changed nothing on the radio but now collective, right, left, forward and aft have all reversed. I changed out the stock servos with hi-tech's, are they wired different than the stock servos?

Thanks bdavison, I thought that I was going crazy. Your posts on Blade repair has been a GREAT help!
Anyone need three brand new hi-tech servos?

RE: Replaced servos on CP now...
I'm just guessing here, but it seems like if travel is reversed, there should be an easy way to make this work. Could you:
1) plug the sevos in the other way? (I don't remember there being any special feature on the servo plugs to keep you from reversing them). Would that make them run "backwards?"
or
2) Can you turn the servos over, and flip the servo arm over to the other side? That's going to make down become up and up become down, right?
(These answers seem too simple, so I'm anticipating someone explaining to me the obvious reasons they won't work. Don't let me down.)

Don't think turning the servos upside down would work, not enough clearance. I could be wrong I don't have the CP in front of me know.
And was actually hoping that someone would be able to tell me just by swapping some wires I could reverse the direction.

Okay, after I drew a little picture and looked at it, I can see that turning the servo over doesn't make then reverse. You'd have to turn them end-for-end, then mount them different.
So let me substitute this idea--what about those four forward/reverse switch at the bottom of your Tx?

No need for difficult solutions or cumputer radios!
Just change the servo wires around. + and - , red and black on hitec... as simple as that.
But don't change the yellow wire, that's the pulse.
And btw, by a look at pictures of the transmitter, shouldn't the switches on the bottom right reverse the servos anyway...

It's true that I could have used the switches on the transmitter but what I forgot to mention is that I have two CPs and just one transmitter. Thanks I will try the wire switch tonight.

RE: Replaced servos on CP now...
Well bdavison was correct I guess I will save these puppies for another heli.
1.Switching + and - did not work the 4 in 1 would give a red light and then go dead.
2.Reversing on the transmitter work except for the throttle 4 in 1 thought it was at full and would not initialize.
Oh well

This is from Hitec's website,
There are four wires that must be switched in order to change the servo direction. Two are on the motor and 2 are on the potentiometer. Switch the red and green wires on the pot and the orange and brown wires on the motor.
There is also a diagram on the site. Go to support, click on the servo's in the picture, then go to servo faq's

OK,
I thought that switching the wires would reverse them because I did that a couple of years ago with some servos and it worked.
Sorry for that.
