Fuel Burn on a P-80 P-120
Can anyone tell me what the average fuel burn on the Jet Cat
P80-P120 is. I am modifying a Byron F-20 and I want to size the tank capacity for a 7-8 min flight. Any help would be appreciated..

Fuel Burn on a P-80 P-120
My P80 uses about 50 oz per run over the entire flight, including start up through shut down. It's a 5 minute flight plus about 3+ mins add'l run time. All totalled it uses about 50 oz.

Fuel use
MB-339/P80 66 oz tanks. Consistent 50 oz per flight, 6 1/2 min gear up to touchdown, 1/2 - 3/4 throttle mostly. ~14-15 flights per five gallons
TopCat/P80 (same engine) 84 oz tanks. Varies, but ~65-70 oz per flight, 7 1/2 min gear up to touchdown, 3/4 to full power mostly. ~9-10 flights per 5 gallons.
Both include start, taxi out, takeoff, taxi back, with no overflow tank. Timer starts at gear up.

Fuel Burn on a P-80 P-120
I have a P120 on my Bobcat, and set my timer to give me a 7.5 minute flight. I usually find that that burns up the entire main tank content, but leaves the centre tank completely full. That means I'm burning 2 litres in 7.5 minutes.
Note though, that I have the P120 tuned down to about 19 lbs, and I use the throttle a lot - i.e I don't just leave it wide open, which would burn more fuel.

I fly both P-80 and P-120. I find the fuel burn is about the same, as long as you keep your flight profiles the same, i.e. fly at about the same speed, and use full throttle about the same amount of time. The P-120 is a more fuel efficient engine, i.e. you get the same speeds at significantly lower throttle settings than the P-80.
I set my gear-up to gear-down time at 6 min 30 secs on my HotSpot or Bandit. Total run time is usually 9 min 30 secs to 10 minutes. Flying profile is agressive, but definitely not full throttle more than 30-40% of the time....mainly take-off and vertical stuff only.
Consumption, as measured by the JetCat ECU and eyeballing it is consistently 64-70 oz. I fly with an 84 oz main tank and the 4 0z UAT. If you keep the throttle back on the inevitable go-arounds, I feel comfortable with at least 2 go-arounds before going fuel-critical.
