Default Newbie-ish with a few stampede 2wd questions..

I've been out of the r/c game for about 10 years

( refer to this for my story.. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-c...t-weekend.html )

but I recently came across this xl5 2wd and I hate the stance on it especially for being 2wd.. I've seen the wider a arms from rpm but for the life of me I cannot find a single place that sells both the front and rear arms. One website will have only front and another will only have the rear etc etc. is there any website were I can buy both or even a set? Also who do y'all recommend for beefier towers? For the moment I plan on keeping the stock battery, any motor options that will work well with the stock batt? i also want a different frame, I've read a few people using longer frames, I'd like to go lower, wider, and longer if all possible. What type of frame do y'all recommend, if they even make them. I've searched but I've ran into a lot of confusion with slash and the newer stampede and 4x4 etc. are slash products universal with the 2wd? It seems like some of them are, but I want to make sure. Also it seems like a lot of hobby sites/companies have fallen apart since I've last checked. What's a good go-to hobby site? My LHS is crap. Thanks

I got a rem 1/8 extended chassis and fastlane machine make extended chassis.

Flm makes wide arms towers etc I use them and are strong.

Some get two sets of rears to go wide and low.

Want lower cog get jato slayer or slash 4x4 shocks

Castle 1410 3800k monster pro on 3s is a beast set up

4600kv on 3s works nice as well.

Interchangeable parts are there but it depends on the application

Hope this helps

That's awesome I love that chassis.. I'm dead set on that now. I should have specified sorry but I'm trying to stay away from aluminum arms. I'm going to consider them to match the shocks though. Also what do you mean by getting two sets of rears to go wide and low? Thanks for the info!
