Starburst Pattern for Dynaflight 1/4 Super Decathalon
Just wondering if anyone knows where I could find some vinyl cut starburst patterns for my Dynaflight 1/4 Super Decathalon. The plans have the patterns on them, but you have to cut up the plans and use them as templates. Being that I'm not very good at covering (also a little lazy 
), having vinyl cut ones would be great! Thanks in advance!

Yeah, the plans are great for showing the starburst--both wings and tail, I'm just lazy! I will be putting a Taurus TS52 in her. For the ground clearance issue I plan on using larger wheels and lengthening the gear. So far great kit! Had the wings built in about 6 hours! Die cutting excellant! I also will be putting in a TME smoke system, first time smoke and gasser, can't wait till' spring!

Weight wise, it's actually a little over a pound lighter than a G38 (per kit 25-35cc), power wise, it's going to be killer! I know of other builders on RCU that have used the Fuji 50 cc to great success, I'm planning on reinforcing the firewall and I never fly full throttle, except for vertical which this engine should give!

Sounds good...
I was wondering if a FPE 2.4 engine would fit in it. Its 6" wide from the Carb to the Muffler. Will that fit in the cowl?
All other dimensions will work from what I can tell.

No problem, the distance from firewall to spinner backplate is 6 7/8", you have plenty of space! Have fun building yours!

Woops, wrong dimension! Sorry! The width of the cowl at it's most narrow point (near spinner) is 6 1/4", widest, towards rear is 6 1/2". Looks like you'll be good to go!

Dynaflight SD
Hi there.
Justin, are you the Justin I just sent the pics too?
If so, one of the pics (last one) is my SD landing. It has a Brison 2.4 (40cc) and it is a great match. Just love it. Can't wait for spring to fly some more.
Good luck to you both. I used tracing paper and 21st century white fabric to make the star burst. Then used auto store trim tape for the blue strips.

Dynaflight SD Pics Starburst
Here is a shot of me and my SD.
Do yourself a favour and tint the glass areas with Rite Dye (Forest Green) or whatever. A little rock salt - three tablespoons - will do a lot to add to the looks. Lots of what did you do that with comments.

Hey Cloudniner, how does that 2.4 Brison do in the vertical? No, I'm not expecting (or wanting) it do be 3D capable or anything. I just mean, for instance, will it do nice big round loops like the full-size? Again, cloud9er, great job of building and covering that ship. Any way I could get some pics emailed to me? Or, better yet, why not post them to the photo gallery? I'm sure lots of people would like to see pics of this work of art in a little more detail. Thanks.

Goin Vertical
Hi again
Shortly after this shot the SD went vertical for 300 to 350 feet. I will swear on a stack of you know what that I hovered the SD for about 30 seconds. No it is not like my H9 Edge 540 but it sure does fly nice. I does absolutely wonderful avalanches ( in and out).
I am using a Pro Zinger 20x8 prop on this thing. Every once in a while after a bunch of touch and goes it will come in with dirt on the prop tip. I am using 4 inch wheels with Sig 1/4 Spacewalker pants.
I have JR 8411's all round, two on elevator, one each on aileron, and cable push pull on rudder.
You may not believe this but, I do have a witness (photo taker), after the flight when the photos where taken I discovered, much to my horror and much to the design that I had left out the nylon bolts holding the wing on. The SD flew around doing knife edge down the field, avalanches, etc. with just the dowel and struts holding the wings on! I said a few words to myself and promised to never do that again. Kudos to Dynaflight for a great design. I like this thing so much I actually went out and bought another one and one of their PA18 Super Cub kits.
Anyway I am getting long winded. Good luck to all of you with yours. May spring come soon!!!!

Great pic's Cloudniner I too have a Brison in a Decathalon and I agree great combo, superb flyer. Mine has a B@B smoke system which also works very well. Try a Zinger 18-12 I did wow!!! Vic
