Got to see it in person last week at the factory. Very nice. Simplified alot of stuff and even has new gear I believe. Looked very nice. Comes prepainted or silver. Very cool.
We talked about it briefly while I was there so didnt get all the details but it looked like it was going to be an awesome ARF.

BV's place was overwhelming. I always had an idea of the place, but I wasnt even close. You really wouldnt believe everything he's got going on there. Incredible, first class operation. I couldnt believe how many people worked there and the extent of "in house" work. Very complex and highly sophisticated facility. I was amazed. I walked around the whole time with my mouth hanging open saying holy crap!!

Never Fails. First I build a Bandit out comes an ARF, then I build an Electra out comes an ARF then I build a 60"F-86.What again out comes an ARF. Thats it I'm waiting for the F-4 arf LOL. Just kidding I love to build BVM kits they are so nice to assemble. Next in line is the Big F-86.

I have one of the 60" "AFS" F-86s. Does anyone know if these new retracts are a drop in fit for the AFS version of the kit?

There is a pic of the gear on BVM website. I also have a AFS F-86. The nose gear looks identical but the mains are the more conventional looking gear but i think they would drop in also and work.

No I did not ask the price, figured it would be a top notched kit with everything needed in the box.My SWAG is between the "ARF electra & bandit". $ 3300. with gear

That is actually not that bad!!. If it builds as easy as the BARF it would actually be quite competitive, price wise.

Thanks for the photos Joe....My all time fav warbird and definite crowd pleaser at our Fly-Ins......

I have heard rumors about it for a while now.....

I think you are a bit optimistic at $3300.00 with the gear. Even though it is based on a very successful predecesor in the BVM line, all the re-tooling of the airframe and gear drives the price up. BV says a couple of year ago, bringing a new bird like this to market costs at least 250 large ones.

I would venture more like 5K to your door for the whole package including wing tanks, plus shipping. If in fact it turns out to be $3300.00 gonna grab two fo sho, a Fury for Sunday flyin and one of those red tails for cloudy days....

By the way, I just took delivery of one of Jim Fox's 57" Sabres. Very smooth deal. $805.00 shipped from Thailand to my door. Only extras are pilot, gear(Spring Air 300's or 700's, and W/B). Gonna stuff it with my kit-built Wren 54/III at 13-14 lbs. Excellent kit and instructions as noted on the build thread here on RCU.

Tom,
What color scheme did you get ?? who did you buy it thru?? Not that much smaller than the 60" BVM Sabre and a good buy it seems.

Hi Vin:

Directly from Jim Fox in Thailand. He answers all emails promptly allowing for day/date/time differences.

It only comes in a very nice silver grey gelcoat. I am going to decal it in the Korea 51st scheme with John Glenn's Mad Mig Marine graphics. I have emailed TailormadeDecals for a price on that scheme.
Then all it needs is some yellow/black line I.D. paint on the fuse and wingtips. It has excellent panel lines on wings and fuse if one is into doing a weather job on it.

His site is http://fox-composites.com.....The instruction manual is there and there is the build thread here on RCU.

I sent him a bank wire for payment. Sent him the money on a Monday and received the kit the following Monday by USPS. He uses Thailand PS. Tracking was included. Low value so no customs required.

Tom
