JR XR2i steering trouble?
T maxx 3.3 truck JR XR2i radio.
my truck wont steer. the servo will twitch a little one way or another but it wont go teh whole way at all, not even close.
i switched the wires from the throtel and the steering on the reciever. it will steer fine with the throtel triger.
i removed the fail safe , nothing, checked on the settings and stops programed into the radio and i found nothing.
i dont know what to do?

RE: JR XR2i steering trouble?
Well i can turn the tires from right to left with my hands when the power is off.
And it will center itself when i turn on the power. It only twitches to the left a little when i try to steer it.
i get nothing to the right.

RE: JR XR2i steering trouble?
i put my traxxas reciver and my traxxas transmitter. on the truck and it works fine.
So I know now that the servos and wires are all fine.
but i hate that traxxas transmitter. the truck handels like crap with it . everything is clunky and funky with that traxxas junk.
and the trim knobs are so easy to hit and get out of wack. i have been crashing and fliping all over the place. it seems slugish and just wrong with the traxxas radio. i wish i knew what went wrong with the JR. it was fine last t6ime i used it.

RE: JR XR2i steering trouble?
i have been using my traxxas radio and resiever for i while now .
but i am tired of it. My truck is so nice and upgraded and it just ain't rite with that clunky ugly traxxas radio.
so to recap on whats going on. everything is fine with thr traxxas radio gear hooked up.
But when the JR stuff is instaled i only get throttle to work right.
the steering only twitches to the right a little when i try to steer it. But if i switch the plugs around on the reciever it will steer but the throttle will twitch.
i have made sure that the setings programed into the transmitter were good and they are.
I am thinking the reciever is fried. when this quit working it was all of a sudden and i was not washing it and at that time i was not using a garden hose to wash teh truck like i do now. so it is not water damage. it just dinked out on me all of a sudden. i don't know what the heck happend.
any of you have any ideas?
I think it is the reciever.
it is a R125 2 channel Am 75MHz JR reciever.
my traxxas radio is 27MHz so i dont think i can use the JR transmitter with teh traxxas reciever. Can I ?

RE: JR XR2i steering trouble?
It's either the tx or the rx. Without a known good tx or rx you won't be able to tell which is bad. Do you know anyone else running a JR am radio? If so get them to help. Put your crystal in their tx and see what happens. If the problem is still there then the fault is in the rx. If the problem goes away, it's the tx.
I do not believe Traxxas and JR systems are compatable.

RE: JR XR2i steering trouble?
well i fixed it brother!!!!!!! woohoo
i been reading more and I noticed that this radio has 2 memorys for 2 different car setups.
so i went in a played with it and switched it to another car or data set or whatever you would call that. and the SOB works.

RE: JR XR2i steering trouble?
My suggestion was going to be to adjust your EPA and Steering travel on your TX, but since you fingered it out, good for you. I use a JR XR3 and a RX300 from my Losi LST. Lots of adjustments on this system.
