Default WHATS THE DIFFERANCE ?

can any one tell me if there is a differance between the pro.15 and the 2.5 maxx trucks
the reason why i ask ,looking for a pipe for my .15 maxx with a os 18 rear exhaust
everything i find is for the 2.5 t maxx. i think the chassis length ,engine placement
and shock tower is in the exact same place on the two . but before i buy this header
pipe combo and find out its wrong .i would like to know if they are the same.
i think the trans is a little different on the 2.5 ,and i think thats about the only
differance. can u guys conferm this ? any help would be appreciated.

The biggest difference between the .15 and 2.5 is the exhaust for the .15 is a side exhaust and the 2.5 is a rear exhaust.

The 2.5 header will not work on the .15 engine but will work on the .18TM.

The .15 is a rotary carb and the 2.5 card is a slide valve carb for future reference.

The trannys are the same on the .15 & 2.5. The 2.5R/3.3 trannys are different.

oh ya and how would you make the 2.5 header work on the os?
the 2.5 header bolts on to the engine as the os is held on with a spring
so there is really no way i see to hook the spring on the 2.5 header
iam looking at header pipe combo from rd logics to fit my t maxx

My post should have read it wont fit on the 2.5 or .18th.

Sorry for the confusion.
And yes the 2.5 also has the wide maxx suspension.

yes, the switch to the 2.5 added the widemaxx arms, an extra .5mm thickness of the chassis plate (I believe, could have been 1mm, I don't remember), bigger driveshafts, rear exhaust (as opposed to side exhaust), slide carb as opposed to rotary, better shock towers, the addition of bulkhead braces, and a more intelligent ezstart

the engine mounts are the same, shock towers have the same dimensions, the upgrade for the 2.5 just made the towers beefier, they added that cross into the middle and two additional shock mounting options. other than the thickness of the chassis plate the only difference between the older and newer is the 3 holes for the throttle bellcrank

I have the rd logics pipe on my t-maxx, it is very loud (even though i like the sound). It makes it very hard to tune and it doesnt make as much power as a side exhaust.
