x roll cage
the stock replacement roll cage for the savage x came with this 1 part and i cant figure out what it duz. it is that last part on the tree of hpi #85239. it is that small one.

If its the part im thinking of i mounted mine on the side of the roll bar with a screw and nut and sent the antenna tibe right through it and out the back window.
Two reasons for doing this
1. got tired of trying to put the antenna through the hole in the top and
2. little bit less chance of breakage.

i called hpi about it and they said i shouldnt wory about it... but i dont think we were talking about the same part. (still might not be anything to wory about though)

when i started typing, there was only 1 response... i guess you clicked submit just before me!
i also run the antenna under the roll bar and out the back and set it on the cylender hoop. i put fuel tubes around the antenna where it touches anything to reduce glitching.

Here it's been dicussed in this thread. The last pic is how I ran it. Just zip tie the tail end UNDER the rollbar away from the engine. Works Great! Range is still fine for the bashing I do and no more smashed antennea. [link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4291614/tm.htm[/link]
