Default engine mount

i was just wondering if some one could help me out by telling me how to drill the holes in my engine mount straight. i have ruin one mount all ready thanx

Using a drill press makes the job a lot easier......

If you don't HAVE a drill press, the next best thing is to have a helper guide you from another perspective.

And if you don't have a helper, don't look directly over the drill, hold it out in front of you (pointing down) so you can see if you're perpendicular to the mount.

If your engine will fit in the mount upside down, use it as a guide.

The Great Planes Dead Center tool is very nice to start pilot holes. I seem to drill more straight when I use that to start the holes. I also do what Minn suggested when I'm actually drilling.

The harry higley tap and drill guides are great for this purpose, I use them all the time.
