If you want easy tuning and durability, go for the O.S. I know people that have their O.S.'s for the past 8 years, and they are still running with no problems.

Go with the OS...first off it's a direct bolt in...just have to put on the flywheel and clutch bell and bolt it in (took me maybe 20 minutes to get in installed in my Revo). Second it's ssssoooo nice to tune...hands down better than the 3.3. Third it's not going to possibly tear your drivetrain to bits (like the pico 26 can if not set up properly). Just my 2 cents.

Picco Max 26 all the way, mine holds a tune and starts like a champ all the time, I haven't had one problem with the motor or the drive train.

i would have to say for a beginner,go with the o.s,i run both engines in question, and the picco can be a little sensitive, practice tuning on the o.s,then later down the road try your hand at the picco

the os is a direct drop in
you do have to take the flywheel etc.... off your trx and use it on the os but thats it
the os has a little bit more low end and a little less top end than the trx 3.3 but that can be solved by changing your gearing and the os is easy to tune and so on lol

i also saw an rb concepts tm323 for revo how does that perform and how easy is it to install thx
i also saw an rb concepts tm323 for revo how does that perform and how easy is it to install thx
was going to get that myself but i am going to get the picco .26 now and if you mean the kit it comes with the mount so all you do is put the same stuff off your old engine and use the mount that comes with the engine and drop it in go with the 523 though its newer and i hear the 323 had carb problems
also the picco .26 max revo easy start comes with a mount but you also use your own exhaust and over here in the uk its cheaper than the rb 523 thats why i am getting it lol

You have to grind down where the engine mount bolts to the chassis in the rear. I don't know what to tell you on the driveline other than loosen the slipper and hope for the best. Some people have tons of problems others won't

just put it on the mount and drop in it you do have to put the flywheel etc... from your old engine on but thats like any engine also you would have to have a loose slipper plus it does not garuntee safety for your gears lol
what i have heard also that the picco .26 is not the easiest thing to tune aswell

ok i thought that the picco .26 revo engine kit just drops in as it says on the site
are we on anout the same picco .26 this is the kit for the revo are you thinking of a picco .26 bigblock
as the picco .26 max uses the .21 crankcase bored out has a smaller exhaust outlet to fit stock revo header thats why the picco .26 max is classed as a mid block
please let me know if i am wrong lol

a word of advice on the .26maxx,if you have the slipper too tight and are hard on the throttle you will be replacing every plastic piece in the drivetrain.that engine produces a god awful amount power quickly, the worst problem i had with the o.s. was rear center drive shafts

If you are bashing I would go with the Picco has more low end power and it is a monster with the MGT pipe. all you need to do is get the mount for it *sold separately from the engine* mine was easy to tune. Follow Kliff's instructions for best performance

Ive done some searching, but cant seem to find much, guys where can I get a Picco 26 complete carb and piston/sleeve for the cheapest price? Also, will a TRX OWB work with it for the EZ Start? Thanks!

Well the engine I want to buy is brand new The story is that the guy took it apart for some reason and while doing so scored the piston/sleeve. The engine was never ran, but comes with everything except the carb. So I would need a new carb and piston/sleeve. The cheapest Ive found is the piston and sleeve for $55 and the carb for $47. And if I get that engine for less than $50, then it will be worth it.

the engine new is about $199 so for a little more you could have hassle free your cash in the end though

I could have bought a NIB one with my T-maxx mount for $175 shipped on ebay. Problem is I need to work a bit more before I can buy a new one, since I am buying a racing chassis for my Savage too
