can I put a picco .28 with .21 crankcase in a revo easily
I want to put a new engine in my revo 3.3, I want to go faster than my buddies savage 4.6. I was looking at the picco .26 which is a simple bolt in and high performance engine. However there is also a Picco .28 built on a .21 crankcase rated at 3.5 horsepower compared to the .26 rated at 2.5 hp. Both engines are the same price. On the Picco website for the .28 it says it will fit almost any car/truck with an existing .21 engine.
I guess my question is will the picco .28 be easy to install on my revo 3.3? What would I need to install this engine? If it is too complicated/expensive, I will probably settle for the .26
Thank you in advance

you got a link to the .28 in a .21 crankcase sounds interesting lol
a picco .26 (4.2cc) will give you better than a savage at speed as the revo weighs around half the weight of the savage remember though its about gearing as well

dude, that's a picco p3 .28, that is a normal sized .28 crankcase, and almost all .28s will fit in the space of a .21. so that's nothin special. and to put it in your gonna need a BB mount and a pipe.

lol what a mixup! Let me attempt to clear the mist for you young grasshoppers of nitro Every engines .21+ nowadays is built on a .21 engine mount which is a standard big block mount. This mount is standard for all engines that are .21-.32 excluding mid blocks such as the RB and Picco .26. The RB fits into a standard smallblock mount while the Picco 26 hasa separate mount of its own. Now, the Picco .28 P3 is a standard big block, you will need a big block conversion to use this engine on the Revo and you will likely kill you're drivetrain with it. I suggest going Picco .26 and buying the special mount, much more simple and still powerfull. Not to mention $100 less....Tom[8D]

thanks rcnitrohead... This is what I needed to clear things up. I'm not looking for too big of a project right now and I think the .26 will be very satisfying. I was watching some videos of a revo with a .26 in it and it looks like almost too much power.

The .26 does have too much power... I'm looking on either buying a Picco .26 or a Sirio .23. Man Ive lost like 5 auctions on the Picco and one on the Sirio[:@] Both engines rock... Having trouble on ebay, havent been any good Picco 26 auctions on ebay for a while, but Sirio 23 is become very popular on ebay now[8D] Tom.

the picco .26 maxx has small block mounting holes, but a bigger crankcase, so it doesn't fit in the stock mount.
