Default Name that engine?

This engine came on a plane I just got. I'd like to know what it is and if it will have enough power for the plane its on. I'm new to gas engines but not new to glow. Here are the identifying marks the engine has along with where they are located.

Under the cylinder on the exhaust side are the numbers 56164 on the crankcase.
Made in Canada on cylinder under exhaust outlet with AE next to it.

Intake side has numbers 300308 on cylinder.

Also here is a pic of the plane that it came on. The top wingspan is approx. 96 inches.

That looks like an old Quadra 35.

Don't think it is a Quadra, not with a side exhaust. Also, the 35 has the case split horizontally. I can't offer another suggestion though. What prop was mounted on it?

beepee-There was no prop mounted on it. I just put that one on since it was the largest in the box of parts it came with.

tkg- I've been told its a Quadra 50 by another already, but I'd really love to find a picture to verify this. Any idea where I might be able to dig up some info on it?

Go here for a picture of the Quadra 52 .... very similar to your engine.

"Tell that guy on RCU his engine is definitely a Q50/52...If it came from Tom Sabatini it' a 52..Klaus never used Zama carbs on his...."
